#APPEAL | The partner of 45-year-old Wayne Rekia who has been missing for six months has issued a heartfelt appeal for his safe return.

Appealing directly to Wayne and to the public, his partner Natalie said: "Wayne, if you see this then please get in touch with me. I am so worried about you and I just want to know that you are safe and ok.

"If anyone has seen Wayne or has any information that could help reunite me with him then please let police know.

"I love you and miss you so much and I just want you to come home."

Wayne was last seen at around 8am on Tuesday 10 August 2021, at the Manchester Royal Infirmary.

He is described as mixed race, around 5ft 9ins tall, and of a medium build and was last seen wearing a burgundy T-shirt, black tracksuit bottoms, a black Berghaus gilet and black Nike TN shoes.

He has a scar on the bridge of his nose and left wrist and also has a tattoo of a black panther on his right arm.

Police are increasingly concerned for missing man who vanished after leaving hospital without his medication.
Wayne Rekia, 45, was last seen at the Manchester Royal Infirmary at around 8am on Tuesday, August 10.

He is said to have connections to Manchester city centre, Reddish and Audenshaw.

Wayne is described as black, around 5ft 9ins tall and of a medium build.

When he went missing, he was wearing a burgundy t-shirt, black tracksuit bottoms, a black Berghaus gilet and black Nike TN shoes.

Detectives have issued an urgent video appeal as concerns mount for a missing man who was last seen at Manchester Royal Infirmary.

Wayne Rekia, 45, is understood to have been a patient at the hospital, and vanished over a month ago without his medication.

Nobody has seen or heard from him since he was last seen at around 8am on Tuesday 10 August.

Police previously warned that Wayne had failed to pick up medication which may cause him to 'become illl' if he doesn't take it.

Over five weeks after his disappearance, detectives have now issued a video message calling for the public's help to trace his whereabouts.

It is over a year since Wayne went missing and officers are becoming increasingly concerned about his welfare.

Wayne Rekia, 45, was last seen a year ago, at around 8am on Tuesday 10 August 2021, at the Manchester Royal Infirmary.

He is described as mixed race, around 5ft 9ins tall, and of a medium build and was last seen wearing a burgundy T-shirt, black tracksuit bottoms, a black Berghaus gilet and black Nike TN shoes. DI McKeown of GMP’s City of Manchester CID said: “It has been over a year now since Wayne Rekia was initially reported missing and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare. We are appealing urgently for the public’s help to locate Wayne.

"We know that he has connections to Manchester City Centre, Longsight, the Reddish area of Stockport and Audenshaw in Tameside so he could currently be in any of these locations.

“If anyone has any information that could help reunite Wayne with his family. Please contact officers on 0161 856 4382.”
