What happened with this case, there doesn't seem to have been a trial so were the charges dropped?

One year on from Whaley Bridge shooting police working ‘tirelessly’

It has been one year since the Whaley Bridge shooting which left one teenager dead and another hospitalised but police say investigations are ‘complex’ and ‘take time’.

I don’t think anyone has ever been charged in relation to this case
