Looks like the mystery has been solved:
Remains of six people unearthed at a building site in Kent date back to the Middle Ages | Daily Mail Online

"Hundreds of human bones discovered in plastic bags underneath a building site in Kent have been found to date back to the Middle Ages after being studied by police.

The bones of up to six people - including a child - were studied by forensics after being found six feet underground.

Workmen were forced to stop excavations as police swept the scene on January 21.

A Kent Police spokeswoman said: 'The bones, which have been analysed by experts, were found to be from around the middle ages.

'As such, Kent Police will no longer be investigating the discovery.'"

It seems like those theories were right... that they're historical remains that were unearthed somewhere else and reburied elsewhere so that builders didn't have to stop work. I think it's sad that some people value building a house on time for money over historical value. Not only that, but these were once real people. They lived and breathed and smiled and cried. Just because they lived hundred and hundreds of years ago doesn't mean they aren't worthy of respect. One of them was a child. Still, I'm glad this wasn't the unearthing of some serial killer's victims.
