Reporting is changing all the time in this case, BBC news 15Aug 2018, A friend who was staying with Mr Taylor reported him missing on 4 June after waking up to find he had gone, The comet news 4 Sept, said the 69 year old was reported missing to the police by his lodger Richard Lush on the evening of the 4 June last year ! .
He's the guy who recently gave evidence, I think. Isn't he the coach driver who works for Taylor Travel?

I meant the fact that there are only two defendant names showing - GG is missing

Oh right. Maybe he didn't have to attend today. Do we know who the witnesses are? This is ridiculous that noone is reporting on this murder case. There aren't many Gosmore murders AFAIK.

No not a clue. Other than when RT ( son ) and RL ( coach driver ) gave evidence, we have not heard any other names...I agree it is very frustrating that there is so little media coverage

So, as thought, Defence case has begun and PC is going for the * it was all a fantasy * defence.

Mr Cannon, 54, told a jury at St Albans Crown Court that he never intended to harm Mr Taylor, but claimed he would tell Mrs Taylor, 53, that 'he wanted to get rid' of her husband, because he knew it 'excited her'.

Mr Cannon was asked by his barrister Michael Magarian QC about a message he had sent his lover in April of last year suggesting that he had committed two previous murders.

Mr Cannon, who had no previous convictions or cautions, replied: 'It was just to build myself up in front of Angela. She likes all that sort of bravado. She likes it that I put myself across to her as a nasty bit of work. Angela finds it exciting.'

Mr Cannon told the jury that as the police search got underway for Mr Taylor, he and his co-defendant Mrs Taylor thought the farmer's son Richard might have killed his father.

He said the reason he had referred Richard Taylor in a statement as being 'volatile' was because he had been told the son had had his shotgun licence taken away from him in the past.

Mr Cannon admitted he had also lied in a statement he gave to the police on June 7 last year in which he denied he was having an affair with Angela Taylor.
He said it was soon after the farmer's disappearance and he thought he might turn up and he didn't want to cause Angela Taylor's three children anymore distress.

His barrister Mr Magarian asked him: 'Were you telling a lie because you were guilty of murder?'

He replied: 'No.'

I wonder how he will explain his DNA on the petrol soaked towel in the fire damaged Range Rover?

In the weeks and months before the disappearance of Mr Taylor, who was a farmer, the lovers shared many violent and sexually graphic messages, the court heard.

Mr Cannon told the jury: "We got off on that sort of stuff.

"Violence and sex, that was our fantasy world, it has no boundaries.

"You can do whatever you want in a fantasy."

He said that their violent exchanges provided Mrs Taylor some respite from the unhappiness in her marriage.

Mr Cannon, of Pirton Road, Hitchin, added: "She could open a tap and let her stress out.

"She was calm the next day, a different woman."
