On February 16 Angela was concerned about the security of WhatsApp and expressed concern about using WhatsApp messages.

Paul Cannon replied: 'WhatsApp safe.'

From Tortoise earlier link.....

This was very interesting to me that they could retrieve these conversations.

But yeah they're numpties writing down their murder plans in any form IMO.

Neither comes across as being particularly clever.

"You know what I'd like to do... make love to you on his kitchen table... with him tied to a chair so he had to watch !!!!!!! Then send him to hell."

It takes a lot to surprise me but these people have done so. Absolute sickos!

St Albans Crown Court heard a white towel doused with liquid was wrapped around the steering wheel and an end placed into a green petrol-type can.

DNA samples from a partially burned white towel and a blue and white checked shirt recovered from the scene matched that of Mr Cannon.

I suppose he thought it would all burn down and there would be no evidence left.

I'm wondering why it took police so long really.

I think getting the WhatsApp info could have been part of the delay. They need a subpoena by the look of it. Also the DNA and forensics and autopsy details. He wasn't found for quite some time as well. And they had done a lot of searching initially.

Hmmmm. They were arrested on suspicion quite quickly weren't they?

The witnesses in this trial would most probably have known from the outset I don't imagine a "loud" couple like these two would keep their threats to themselves so their feelings towards bill were most probably common knowledge in the local area. Added to that the eldest son and his family no doubt had initial input to the police and hopefully threats which had been recorded in some way to hand over and start this long journey to justice for bill jmo of course

Mrs Taylor, of Charlton Road, Charlton, is accused of encouraging Mr Cannon, of Pirton Road, Hitchin, to set light to Mr Taylor's car on 26 May 2018 when it was parked outside his home in Harkness Hall, in Gosmore near Hitchin.

ITV news reporter giving a short update outside court yesterday - video at link. Not much new except the defence put forward that the towel in the Land Rover was moveable and didn't prove Cannon was physically at the farm, and evidence from a diary Bill kept, in which he wrote about his sadness.
