William Higgins, 49, of Auctioneers Way, Lanark was last seen at his home address on the morning of Sunday, March 25.
Celtic FC showed his missing poster image at the Ross County game on Saturday.
His son was delighted by the appeal and told fans on social media, "Amazing. Let's get my dad home."
William is described as white, 5ft 9 inches in height and of medium build, bald with an auburn beard and moustache. He is thought to be wearing jeans, brown leather walking boots and a black Berghaus jacket.
