''The death of Winifred Locke, an 80-year-old woman living in Baymead Meadow, North Petherton, has not yet been solved - despite taking place in October 1983.
The case has seen over 1,500 interviews take place but there has not yet been a resolution''.

''On October 21, 1983, Eva Locke visited her mother-in-law, Winifred, as she often did, to help her out.
Winifred, an 80-year-old widow had lived in Cannington for much of her life, but had moved to North Petherton 18 months previously.
She lived with Parkinson's Disease and had become less mobile, moving into sheltered accommodation at Baymead Meadow.''

''At 9am on October 22, the warden at Baymead Meadow had been unable to get hold of Winifred over the intercom system.''
'concerned, she went to her bungalow to check on Mrs Locke, finding the rear window to her home open.
When she looked through the window, she saw the body of Mrs Locke lying on the bed.
Police were called and it was soon established that she has been asphyxiated and, shockingly, sexually assaulted''.
