"This is the slave held captive by ‘evil monsters’ in a ‘dark dungeon’ of a council house for more than three decades.

Rosie, 30, penned hundreds of desperate letters and poems from captivity, describing how she suffered ‘unspeakable torment’ at the hands of a couple who adopted her when she was a baby after her parents died in a fire.

In a series of anguished letters, the terrified woman said: ‘I’m like a fly trapped in a spider’s web.’"

Just a comment on the 30-year old's hair: it looks like a weave or a wig in my opinion. In the front it looks like "extensions."

Also, the papers today said the city was notified 15 years ago that this child wasn't going to school. They did nothing.

According to Wiki, the school leaving age was raised to 16 years old in 1972 - so 16 would have been the legal age for the 30-year old not to be in school in around 1998 when she was 15 - and reported not to be in school.

Something should have been done about it, that's for sure.

The most recent raising of the school leaving age was on 1 September 1972 ..... this increased the legal leaving age from 15 to 16

BBC have just announced the couple's name and that they belonged to a maoist collective in Brixton. I had loads of links and old archives about that, but discarded them as being too unlikely. I'll have to try and find them again,

Wow, that was a bit of a shocker, perhaps it may give glimmer of hope to other families with loved ones missing ?

" Two cult leaders suspected of enslaving three women for more than 30 years at a house in south London targeted vulnerable overseas students who were struggling to adjust to life in Britain, it has been claimed.

Aravindan Balakrishnan and his wife Chanda, who ran a Maoist collective in the 1970s, recruited mainly women who shared their far left ideology.

But once they joined they fell under the spell of the charismatic leaders, and found it hard to leave, according to experts.

Scroll to the endnotes and you can see the note about Comrade Bala and Chanda's arrest in 1978. The whole document describes the raid on the Mao Tse Tung Memorial Centre AKA squat in 1978 that led to Bala being thrown out of the Party.

“There was also a tall, slim white woman and another little Asian woman. They would never speak. We always saw them coming in and out with shopping but they never spoke.

"One day the police came and told me an older woman living in that house had died falling out of a window at the back. They asked if I had seen anything. I said no and they never got back to me.”

'..he also tried to conspire to build a clique of people around his 'line' '.

'continuously saying one thing to the Party comrades and preaching and practising another to younger comrades and comrades under his 'discipline'.

'...he had the right to be an exception'

'The National Executive warns that....his...activity will come to no good end.'

They got that last one right okay.

I am searching for women who died falling out of windows in South London now. Can't be that many.

I hope the suspects are considered a flight risk and passports (or any other travel documents) were confiscated. They have no allegiance to "the British fascist state" and its laws, and therefore no regard for little details like terms of bail. :twocents:
