Children in Haiti were being sold to traffickers exploiting the chaos from the past year's earthquake for as little as one euro ($1.37), according to new UN figures reported Monday.

Some children end up in the care of well-meaning but unaware European families, while others are forced into prostitution, British newspaper The Daily Telegraph reported.

Oh bless. I'd be more than happy to take in one of those poor children. Why can't the US except more Haitian children here to be put up in good homes instead of being forced into prostitution? It's such a tragedy.
