Back to the topic. I do agree Cindy was overindulgent. With both Casey and Caylee. Poor George just sat there and thought what the heck is going on.

Sometimes Parent's try to over compensate for whatever they did not have growing up. It's a dichotomy.

I'd love to know what Cindy's home life was like when she was growing up.

I agree Cindy indulged Caylee...just look at her room, stuffed with every kiddie item possible...stuffed animals, clothing, sunglasses and toys! It's beyond overindulgence!!

The only person Cindy cared about was Caylee. As for KC, I think Cindy just pushed her aside once Caylee was born and took every opportunity to criticize. She "cared" about Lee to the extent that he didn't give her any trouble. The only other thing she cared/worried about was how other people would view their family. Thus the covering for KC's pregnancy, stealing, lying, responsibility for Caylee's disappearance, etc.

George was whipped. I often wonder what happened to bring about that situation. It's very unusual for someone with prior LE experience to fall into such a subordinate position. I worked with LE (retired and active) for many years and it just doesn't fit with what I know about people in LE.

Watching the jail visitation videos and seeing them calling KC "sweetheart" and "beautiful" makes me want to barf! I doubt they spoke so gently to her prior to Caylee's disappearance.

I don't think the A's did much "parenting" past LA and KC's toddler years. They just remind me of the type of people that love children and animals when they are little and then just lose interest in them when they grow...MY OPINION.

I agree and would add that materialistic society and social aspects of school can be damaging to some kids. So much emphasis on being attractive, in style clothing, who lives in what neighborhood, who dates who, etc. School, society, lack of religious convictions, genetic mental illness, all contribute to becoming narcissistic or at least make it worse in some people like Scott, Casey, and Menendez bros IMO. Learning how to manipulate parents and others at a young age could be helped by busy parents who are forced by society to work long hours and having a lot of focus on money and achievements instead of realizing they are being conned by a kid.

That's what makes me think maybe GA wasn't cut out for police work. He just doesn't seem like the type. :twocents:

I would really be curious about how they parented Lee as opposed to Casey. Maybe they did not treat him the same way because he is a boy or maybe because he has a different temperament that did not bring out the worst in them.

i dont know what to make of these parents, i just dont know

im a father and i have good, really good kids that are really young adults now cause im older than dirt

and i consider myself blessed and lucky and yes i figure i had something to do with the way they are and im sure im far from done, proably wont be done till the day they bury me :laugh:

... and im far from perfect and my kids are not perfect either BUT and this is BIG ONE.... i did not and wont tolerate LIES...

i will put up with bad desisions, mistakes, big mistakes, small mistakes, accidents, cars being dinged, broken things that they want or in their case
THINGS THEY NEED that cost too much money :doh::banghead:
temporay teenage idiotic things that they do...:laugh: but take the shucking and jiving LIES to some other place... cause they wont be tolerated in this house....... i let them in on that little nugget at around age 2

Cindy reminds me so much of a mom that I know. She was very involved with her children but never made them take responsibility for their actions. Her son has had emotional problems since I have know him, but it was always blamed on someone else, (other kids, teachers, whoever she could blame). She never tried to get him help. Her children never had to do any chores or work part time in high school like the other kids. She always bragged to everyone what a wonderful family life they had, when it was obvious just the opposite was true. Now her son is 25, lives at home, doesn't work and is verbally abusive to his mom. According to her, it's not his fault. You could show her a picture of him doing something wrong and she would swear either it wasn't him or some else forced him to do it. I'm assuming Casey had a similar upbringing.

This illustrates Cindy to a tee. How many times have we heard her ridiculously repeating KC's lies to LE as if they were fact, when she knew none of it was true. Even after LE gave her the proof that KC was NOT working like she said, Cindy still talked about KC going to work or was at work or whatever.
While KC was home on bond, I wonder if they ever asked her, "Why did you tell us you were working at Universal all that time? What were you doing? Why did you lie to us about that?" But I'm sure they didn't utter a peep. I don't understand all of the head in the sand behavior.

CA and others took KC's LIES way too far...Cindy asks KC about ZG's physical description and KC "reminds" her mother that ZG has naturally curly hair but uses a heat straightner AND KC adds "she's the one who gave me my hair straightner, REMEMBER?" And CA meekly mumbles, Oh yeah....How many teens reading here are thinking GOD, I WISH CA was MY mother, one could pull MORE than the wool over this woman's eyes....

Lee acted more creepy than creepy by "making out" with own arm and going on and on to "CMA" about all she had taught him...Dare I say, this dude looked HIDEOUS and CREEPY. Just saying...

I can't think of any nice way to put my thoughts into words regarding Caylee growing up with these bozo people...If only she had the input/reflection of her FATHER's side of the family....Of course CA made sure that never happened.
