Unedited Police Interrogation Videos of Jodi

I wonder if they really expected her to tell the truth or if they were just trying to get her to incriminate herself as much as possible while she was still without a lawyer. (I doubt they expected such an opportunity since most people aren't narcissistic enough to go without counsel!!)

But good thing their tactics got her talking because the false ninja story (a) will help convict her and (b) reveals some details about what really may have happened.

Did Jodi ever say why she agreed to speak without an attorney present? As soon as Flores started reading that Miranda warning, I would have been screaming for my lawyer (actually, long before then).

Video 12, 16:50

"What would happen to me today, and from here on out, if I just told you every single detail that I know, and I gave you a confession?"

Nothing else changes, it just speeds up the process.

In what way? Do I go to Arizona faster?

Yeah, the process in Arizona speeds up.

So if I maintain my innocence, then I stay here longer?

OH MY GOD JUST SPILL IT ALREADY!! Driving me nuts!!

Omg I just finished them. I don't know what to comment on first the fact that she flat out denied being there, insisted on drawing a map of her route, then got busted with the cell bings. Doesn't Miss I Love Road Trips know the routes and has she at least not seen a movie where tower bings are mentioned? Also, an innocent person would straight up yell about intruders or self defense the moment the cuffs came up. Especially if said person was a working photographer who needed to get a client their photos. I do wonder if Juan's Hail Mary pass will be Jodi clearly stating in an early video to Flores that she didn't know why people would suspect her as Travis's killer- he never abused her or raped her. Then play the anecdotes on how she has excellent memory- like in video 12 ish when Flores gets her to admit that she saw a roommate's car pulling in when she was pulling out. Where's your fog, Jodi? With the ninjas?

I've had difficulty making out a lot of what JA says...did anyone catch this, and if so, where is it in the videos? It may be in 13...there were a lot of questions from Flores during that half hour about roommates.

In video 13 around 6:00 Flores "I'm thinking you were still there when his roommates came home." JA gives are clear "No".

this is trivial I know, but I find it telling of her self importance. In video 1 around the 5 min mark, they take her handcuffs off and she says she's cold and asks for heat to be turned up or a sweater. The lady cop says I don't have a sweater but I'll see if the heat in this building can be turned up. JA says, "that's fine". She said that's fine. As if she were in a restaurant and asked for a Coke and they said we have Pepsi and she said that's fine. I would be so scared I wouldn't notice if it were snowing in there. She's trying to stay in control and show that she isn't intimidated, I think. Lord of the Manor. She's so alien to me that it's like watching a movie and saying that wouldn't happen if real life.

I still think she parked down the street and not in his driveway - she was careful to cover her tracks up to that point, she would not ruin it by parking in his driveway. She probably did see someone come home from down the street - I think she narrowly missed being discovered by his roommate.

In her mind it would make her look more guilty. She thinks highly of her intellect and thinks she's smarter than everyone else, she tried to represent herself in the beginning. I don't know anyone (sane) who would attempt this guilty or not.

She has obviously gotten through life talking/convincing her way out of things and I believe she thought this was no different, she would convince them she was innocent and they would believe it. She didn't expect that much evidence to be found, but only just a few hairs and fingerprints which she would explain away.

I think she really IS in control and is not intimidated. No fear = psychopath.

Video 12, 26:10 mark

She's finally starting to crack, asks again to see the photos, Flores tells her the others have the photos and they went to Redding to check out the car. She says, "Oh there's probably something in the rental car." He says "like what?" and I can't understand what she says there, he asks "In the trunk? The back seat" and she says something about what she touched. Is she saying "blood" ?

In video 15 at 10:45 does Jodi say "then sky came back in"? It's when she is explaining the ninja attack. I'm late to the game and have been watching the videos all day and my brain is fried!

When they seal something it is sealed from the public. Juan can still bring it up in court, he just has to make a motion to do so.
I think we'll be hearing a LOT about JA's computer during rebuttal.

If someone gave me the choice between (A) pair of Manolo Blahnik's that I've been coveting (uh-oh is that a deadly sin? and (B) chance to see goodies in Jodi's hard drive, I'd say "C Both!"

No really it would have to be a coin flip.:blushing:

BBM: She's a narcissist. In her mind, she had an airtight alibi.

Well, she said it's a video with a 6 minute introduction from a friend of Travis', and then 30 minutes of Travis giving a speech, talking about his grandfather.

I went to the site listed by lil_buddy(THANKS!) but there's only one little video there.

Sometimes reality and what Jodi says don't match up.
I don't know for sure if that's the case here, but that youtube channel is the only one I know about.

Hence the rental car and brown hair, so she wouldn't be recognized. She gave herself away when Flores told her the neighbor saw her and she responded that they wouldn't know who she was because her hair was a different color. Clear premeditation to me.

I listened, and I think you're right, Gnatcatcher. Pretty sure she says, in a weak voice, "maybe blood" in answer to Flores' question, "like what?" Then she says something about "handles" and the steering wheel.

This is really interesting to me because I never believed her when she testified that she had to wash off her bloody hands with bottled water. I always thought--no way, she most definitely would've washed up before leaving Travis' house. But, maybe the bloody-hands-in-the-desert part of the story is one of those true parts of her lies? Still, it doesn't make sense. How would she get out of the house (put up the dog gate, lock the bedroom door, etc.) without transferring blood stains to these things?

Which video does she confess in? Which one is the ninja story in?

  • #877
What do you mean it doesn't make sense?!

It's like the guy who's pumping gas at the station; such an inconsequential action --- yet it is that action that starts a series of chain of events.

Really Minor, what part of that don't you get? That's why Jodi "hesitates" when Det. Flores asks if she had anything to do with Travis' death. Because Butterfly Effect.

So I guess if Flores had been questioning the gas pump guy and said, "If Travis never got gas from you, he'd still be alive" -- the gas guy would also say, "that's true!"

Yep, it makes perfect sense. I see what you mean ;)

She would have still been bleeding from the cut on her hand.

So when she finally gets to the point of admitting to the ninjas, she goes through that big thing with Flores about how her ring finger was cut trying to get away, and she points out to where it was sliced.

So how come this isn't admissable in response to her statement that the finger was broken by TA and the whole pedophile thing?

I'm going to go ask our attorney. Well, see if they've already answered it and if not, ask.

interesting,
fran

That portion of the interrogation has been shown to the jury twice.
