Police are starting a major search for a woman missing since 2012. Avon and Somerset Police said they now had reason to believe her disappearance was "linked to a crime".

UK - Amber Gibson, age 16 from Scotland, death being treated as murder

The death of a 16-year-old girl in Hamilton is being treated as murder, police have confirmed.

Amber Gibson, also known as Niven, was reported missing from Hamilton in South Lanarkshire on Friday.

Police said she was known to have left her home in Hillhouse at about 21:15. She was last seen in Cadzow Street around 21:55.

Her body was later discovered near Cadzow Glen in the town at about 10:10 on Sunday.
