I'm not convinced that's helpful. Being "sure" seems to equate to "beyond ANY doubt" rather than "reasonable doubt".

Welcome. As you stated, Alan does not have a thread here yet, but one could most certainly be started. I know of quite a few great members off the top of my head who would be interested in following/sleuthing his murder.
