And this is exactly why my gun is always physically on me, or in a safe. How careless could this woman be? All aspects of this are just pure reckless. Hopefully they all learned some valuable lessons: don't leave your gun in a car with children, better yet don't leave your kids in a car alone to begin with, and certainly don't pick up and play with a gun.

And am I going crazy or does it seem like so many kids are picking up guns? I had the fear of God put in me by my parents/grandparents about ever touching a gun without their permission.

This is the same as leaving a gun, let's say, hidden in the couch cushions while you let your kids watch a movie during "quiet time" & you leave to go in the other room to nap or talk on the phone. Ridiculous!!

Unbelievable that no charges will be filed....against anyone. At the very least, isn't it child endangerment to leave the children in the car with a loaded gun? Gun rights, in some cases, have gone way too far, imo.

Thankfully the child survived.

Admin Note:

Yet ANOTHER thread closed because some folks can't restrain themselves from inserting their political opinion regarding the right to bear arms.

The same people who continue to derail the threads with their political agenda are going to be losing posting privileges. Mods don't have time to continue to referee these never-ending arguments and we we're not going to waste anymore of our time doing it. Discussions of that nature do not serve the purpose and mission of Websleuths. There are PLENTY of politically based websites and forums that encourage these debates. Take it to one of those and leave it off of Websleuths.
