Trump Fumes at Fox’s Peter Doocy: ‘What a Stupid Question’

The tense exchange unfolded at the end of a White House College Sports Roundtable, when Doocy raised The Washington Post’s exclusive reporting, published earlier that day, about Moscow’s alleged involvement in Iran’s recent military activity.

“President Trump, it sounds like the Russians are helping Iran target and attack Americans now,” Doocy asked.

Trump quickly brushed off the question, sharply rebuking the Fox News reporter: “That’s an easy problem compared to what we’re doing here, but can I be honest? It’s just, I have a lot of respect for you, you’ve always been very nice to me. What a stupid question that is to be asking at this time. We’re talking about something else.”

Iran Hits Key US Radar, Deepening Gulf Missile Defense Woes

Iran has destroyed a key $300 million radar system crucial to directing US missile defense batteries in the Gulf that risks further straining the region’s ability to counter future attacks, according to a US official.

Satellite photos show that an RTX Corp. AN/TPY-2 radar and support equipment — used by US THAAD missile defense systems — was destroyed at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan in the opening days of the war, CNN reported earlier, citing commercial satellite imagery. The destruction of the equipment was later confirmed by a US official.
Data gathered by the Foundation for Defense of Democracies think tank show two reported Iranian strikes in Jordan: one on Feb. 28 and one on March 3. Both were reported to have been intercepted.

“If successful, an Iranian strike on a THAAD radar would mark one of Iran’s most successful attacks so far,” said Ryan Brobst, deputy director of the Center on Military and Political Power at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies. However, he added that “the US military and its partners have other radars that can continue to provide air and missile defense coverage, mitigating the loss of any single radar.”

White House releases video promoting ‘justice the American way’ featuring Hollywood characters

A Hollywood-themed propaganda video released by the White House promising “justice the American way” for Iran features movie stars from Australia, New Zealand and Canada, and promotes characters including a corrupt lawyer, a drug dealer and a freedom fighter who stands up to the overwhelming force of an invading foreign army.

The 42-second video posted on the official X account of the White House on Thursday was met with almost universal mockery online, with comments accusing the Trump administration of immaturity, and likening its social media strategy to one run by teenagers.

White House sparks backlash after posting another video mashup of action movies with Iran strikes: ‘It’s not a meme’

‘This is frat house not White House,’ one critic of the video said

"Hundreds of people are dead. Little girls are dead. Six Americans are dead. Others are risking their lives,” he wrote on X. “Millions across the Middle East are terrified. It's not a video game. It's not a meme. It's not another chance to troll the libs. It's f***ing war.”

"Since last weekend, the war in Iran has dominated the news. But little is being said about how people inside Iran are experiencing the Israeli and US attacks on their country.
...

An Iranian journalist, who wishes to remain anonymous, says: "I hope everyone understands that a very serious war is going on, much more serious than the Twelve Day War that was fought here before. Let's hope this war ends soon. War doesn't bring joy, and I don't see any joy anywhere."

She talks about a restaurant in her neighborhood that was hit by a bombing. "The ground was covered in rubble, there was a body lying on the ground. All you saw was fear."

"Russia has provided Iran with information that could help it attack US warships and other targets in the Middle East, the Associated Press reported, citing two US intelligence sources.

This is the first indication that Russia is becoming involved in the war launched by the US and Israel against Iran.
...

The White House doesn't deny the reports, but downplays their impact. "It clearly makes no difference to military operations in Iran, because we're completely decimating them," says spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt."

"He messaged Soroush Pakzad from BBC Persian at the end of the week saying that the situation in Isfahan was "truly terrifying", with body parts on the street around one target.

He described himself as being in shock and anger, saying: "I never imagined in my worst dreams that we would become this war-stricken."

My colleague Ghoncheh Habibiazad, who has been collecting voices from inside the country, says the views of some people have changed as the war has continued, as they did not expect it to go on after Khamenei was killed."

Trump lashed out at Doocy as he took questions during a sports roundtable when Doocy asked him about reports the Russians are advising Iranians on how to target and kill Americans.

Doocy was a guest on Friday night’s edition of Fox News Channel’s Hannity, during which the duo joked about Trump being “mean” and recalling then-President Joe Biden calling Doocy a “stupid SOB.”
