It seems that way, but the connection to the third woman sounds more domestic. Fortunately, authorities probably know who did it.

Comments on social media are: Elderly woman in Lyman, UT was found dead in a shed on her property. Her car was gone. Her car was found near the Donkey Creek Trail head in Escalante area. At that location, two woman were found dead. One was 60 and the other was 30. They were found after they were late returning from a hike and one of their husband's went looking for them and found their bodies in a ditch. I think it is likely that the white Subaru they put the BOLO out for belongs to one of these two victims.

This guy sounds pretty dangerous.

Because the suspect is from my region (Iowa) it's a big story here. It's still unknown what he was doing in Utah, and/or if he had any connection to the victims.

This story does say that the two women on the trail were found BY THEIR HUSBANDS. What a nightmare for them.

According to the YouTube video, he said “it had to be done” in order to steal the victims’ cars. That doesn’t make a lot of sense, because how many cars could he drive at one time? MOO

Gary Brian, the owner of Brian Auto Parts, said he got a call at about 10:30 p.m. on Saturday to pick up a vehicle that hit an elk on Highway 24.

He picked up the customer — later identified as Miller — and towed him back to where he was staying at the Snuggle Inn at about midnight.

"He visited with me; he was just a normal person," Brian said.

Miller allegedly killed three women — two at a trailhead and one in her home — for money and cars about four days after he hit the elk.

According to Brian, Miller said he was just traveling through Utah but "didn't act like he knew anyone here."

"He didn't act like someone that would do that," Brian added. "He just acted like a normal person that I towed."

Miller's car was totaled, but he reportedly told Brian he was going to get a ride with his "brother" back to work.
