NG continued:

Alex's Lawyer is claiming he is coming forward and wants to do right by the family by giving up the location of the body.
Hell No! he did it to save his own skin
If he wanted to help the family:
First don't commit the crime!!!
Second- don't wait until murder charges have been filed to come forward w/ location details.
Only after he is charged and they take the DP off the table he gives info

NG does not see a guilty plea in this. She thinks after 2 week behind bars
he is going to fight this and put the parents through compete hell
NG said she would of held out and found that body so the DP can still be on the table

Alex was combative during arrest
He refused to put his hands behind his head
A deputy had to take each arm to cuff him as he tried to pull away
assisted to ground (we know what that means)

Talks
about evidence- Broken bloody knife/PVC pipe/Bloody cloths etc
COD- can they determine from 5 day of decomp
Yes it's possible depending on the condition of the body
Guessing PVC pipe was to beat this girl (hard to write)
Could a brutal beating cause the amount of blood found? -Certainly can- it could be internal bleeding

Can't explain the suit and tie- (still a mystery- I really wanted that answer)

Also talks search efforts.

That pretty much sums it up.

I don't remember reading that she went downstairs. I thought it was a one story house, unless Alex slept in the basement. I'm confused.
Stairs or not stairs is inconsequential, I'm not sure if the home has 2 floors or not. Just asking if possible if ES had become awakened when dad went to bed, then when fully awake, made her way to go and watch TV.. and there was Uncle Alex.

My first posting, like others I joined WS after reading about this case in the news over the weekend.

I know people have thrown around a number of ideas re motive. Forgive me if someone else already mentioned this and I missed it. I would wonder if he was exposed to adult sexual activity throughout his unstable childhood. This is CSA though many who’ve been so exposed don’t realize it is incestuous for parents/guardians to have sexual contact in front of or in earshot of children. The sister getting frisky is no excuse for murder yet it may have brought forth an enraged, neglected ego state from his childhood. Substances could facilitate switching.
Another thought is whether his mom was a better grandma to Lizzy than mom to him, he was still a teen when she was born. That may have seeded resentment and rivalry.
Just my thoughts on this.

I think, since he was staying with his mother, she may have agreed that he must remain in residence at her home as part of his probation agreement (?) If he were my son and began drinking and knocking off on the counseling... all he'd have to do is throw one ashtray or punch one wall in my house and I wouldn't have thrown him out. I'd have called police immediately and had him arrested. I think there was too much tolerance shown and too many things ignored when it came to his behavior. Tough love, imo, would have worked a lot better than to turn a blind eye; wishing and hoping, for something to magically intervene and make it all go away and be better. If he had just been stopped as soon as he began to run his own show and probation be damned... last January... we probably never would have heard there was a missing little 5 year old girl in Utah named Lizzy.

I agree completely!

It was spice, which is synthetic marijauna. It's bad news. Here's a link to WebMD with info
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...FjALegQIARAB&usg=AOvVaw1T8N_bTgNqCV2keOA5LVLu

Wow, not sure how I missed the spice reference in the docs but I did. That stuff is all kinds of bad. Lots of news stories of people doing horrific things while on that drug. If he was on Spice I think that sends the insanity defense even further out the window than it was in my mind before. and yet explains so much to me as to how he could have done whatever he did to that baby girl.

The statement of probable cause for his arrest on Saturday lists the following potential violations of the law:

  • failure to disclose identity
  • unlawful purchase by interdicted person
  • fail to stop at command of law enforcement
  • possession of a controlled substance (marijuana/spice)
  • use or possession of drug paraphernalia
  • transaction of dangerous weapon by a felon

Talking points NG podcast

This is not in order but I wanted to start with this part first:

NG- Lizzy is absolutely beautiful! Looks like the poster girl for everything good in our country. Pretty brown eyes and beautiful smile with out a care in the world.

How in the hell!! did this guy end up in the home that night! (NG screaming voice)

Repeating stuff that Bill Whipple said about past criminal history.

NG-"Why in the Hay was he on the sofa that night so close to a little girl"
As I understand Lizzy's mom who had not had very much contact w/ Alex but decided to help him out that night"I don't know if that was right or wrong" (letting Alex stay)

Talked about the dwelling/ if it could be a break in/ must be inside job (why? I don't know why see said this, I think this was outdated info, before Alex arrest)

Mentions Press conf. w/ LE- about location of body so close to home just like Calyee.

Went over criminal history

-NG- I know a lot of people that will be throwing stones at the mom for having Alex stay over but I can guarantee you she did NOT plan for this to happen, she never imagined he can do a thing like this.
Family didn't think Alex was capable of this. It sounded like Lizzy's mom wanted to open her home and her heart to do right by her younger brother.

NG- It reminds her of the E Smart case when the mom did a good deed and help a laborer out but what did he do.
Bite the hand that feed him!

"Not moms fault"

NG is concerned because of his drinking problem. Seems like his family encouraged his drinking. Alex, sister and boyfriend drinking night before.(LE Report)
"That's like putting gas on Fire" (NG getting mad)
(talked about alcoholism)
12 percent chance getting away from alcohol once addicted
Voluntary intoxication is not a defense!!
Talked about FB message invite/playing video games/drinking/staying on the couch

"This child was Stabbed Dead" NG very mad -(she is making an assumption based on evidence/blood recovered)

Search Efforts went on for days (talked about it- nothing new to share)

NG-Did she have her own room? (was waiting for the answer but she got sidetracked and never came back to it- bummed)

more to come:
Thanks for the synopsis, as I find her intolerable to listen to.

I must have missed that part of the thread -- thanks.
Interesting -- he didn't see her -- so what put all that awfulness in his evil mind? Maybe they were talking about her & that set him off. Maybe he was trying to hurt those happy people in the room that night. Jealousy? Why should she be so happy -- I wasn't. What was it??
Damm.

I was also thinking about that- why Lizzy, how did he grab her, what set him off...
Maybe- just my opinion, not a fact- she got up from her room to go to the toilet or something, and he was still (as he said in the affidavit) there, finishing his beer. Maybe he saw the opportunity then.
Also, it would be much easier to grab her there than to grab her asleep in her bedroom- she would probably wake up and scream, thus waking the infant up and their parents would have heard and intervened.

Hello :)
I would like to thank everyone that has posted on the threads for ES.
While I have been busy at work, I was able to keep up with the developments of the case through your hard work and diligence.
Needless to say, the outcome is was, more than likely, what we all expected but, not what we were hoping for.
Again, thank you for posting the information you gathered in your sleuthing.
I have only recently been approved and am looking forward to being a contributing member.
So glad you've joined us! This one is a tuff initiation to WS for you, I'm sure. Thanks for your comments, and

Welcome to Websleuths,

o/t I don’t know if you’re following the Maleah Davis case - 5 year old missing for 1 month from Houston...it’s just been reported that Moms live-in boyfriend admitted Maleah died in an accident and he dumped her body in Arkansas.
Tim Miller with Equusearch has a 3pm flight to search for her.
Wow, I've been on that case as well since the beginning. Was on the site an hour ago and did not see this.

Yes! 100% red flags all over the place. I can only imagine the family knows much more than we can glean from police reports or articles.

I have real trouble understanding when a criminal bargains or begs or appeals or whatever, to save himself from the death penalty when his crime was ending someone else's life. It just seems unbelievable. First, why would anyone even *want* to spend their entire lifetime in a prison, and second, how could anyone even have the gall to request that his own life be spared, and the DP I believe, would be done in at least a humane way(?), whereas murders are often performed in a very much inhumane manner. It just boggles my mind.

Thanks for posting.. might you be able to please set it to 'walking mode' instead of 'driving mode', so we can see how long it would take to walk that distance?
He was seen on camera around 6:30am - and they picked him up that afternoon - I can't recall the convenience store time stamp but was thinking 2:30 pm or so? upload_2019-5-31_14-4-26.png

I think he just dressed how he felt. A tie can always come in handy if ya got murder on your mind......
