''Lori Beckwith said he ran again from the hospital when he was discharged on Monday afternoon.
He reportedly uses "selective speech, which can come and go depending on stress and safety," Lori said.''
"I had two friends helping me just in case, but he ran off into City Creek and then southward from his last sighting, which was at N. Canyon Rd. and State Street."
Lori said Austin was wearing a light blue hoodie. She said he has no shoes, money, or phone.
She also said that the last time he went missing, he took public transit and "could be anywhere in the valley."
A Utah man with autism was just found last week after he was missing for 24 days. Now, he's disappeared again, according to his mother.

Gillan Smith, a licensed psychologist with a therapy practice in Mapleton, said some people with autism have more severe characteristics than others.
Smith explained that people with autism sometimes tend to be rigid in their thinking, so transitional phases like the one August Beckwith was facing — when things become fluid or change quickly — can be especially difficult.
“It just seems to catch people on the autistic spectrum off-guard when something shifts from their normal routine,” he said.
When faced with that kind of stress, Smith said people with autism may look for ways to escape the situation, and those actions may look like defiance.''
