Couple of things I noticed....

If you look close up at her teeth she has a very strange top tooth, almost looks like an impacted baby tooth. Also a broken or decayed front tooth right next to that one. Also, the staining on all of her teeth seems to be from a smoker. IMO, though, I'm not too sure she's a meth user. The rest of her teeth don't really look too terrible, all things considered. I do believe she probably hasn't had dental care in a number of years.

Also, to me, her acne doesn't look meth-ish. I think it looks more like teen or early adult acne, small white-heads and such on her forehead. Again, this is just my opinion, formed by, unfortunately, seeing a lot of meth users in my area, both kids and adults.

I think she may have had an eyebrow piercing at one time, but who knows because she's got a whopper of a knot on that left eyebrow.

One other thing, on NAMUS, they identify one of the garments as "boxer type underwear". I disagree. I think they are little cotton shorts with the waistband rolled over. (Like Sofee brand, if anyone's heard of those). You can see the notch at the leg opening if you look at the shorts close up. Lots of girls wear those shorts rolled over at the waistband like that. I don't know many women over, say, 24 who would wear their shorts like that.

So, I'm gonna take a guess and say that she is 16-19 y/o. JMO.

Wow, you're right--I looked more closely at her face and her forehead definitely looks like it has acne. That's not acne on her nose and cheeks, IMO, but it could be windburn or sun damage from possibly being on top of a train for 6+ hours.

Agree on the underwear. I wouldn't call those boxers either. They look like women's boy briefs or hipster briefs to me. I'm 40 and still wear those (not sure what that says about me!) but I do agree that she's on the lower end of the age scale. My guess is no older than 25-30.

What makes you think she might have gone to Utah?

She does resemble the UID though and she's been gone long enough to have acquired the ink.

The man that she left with had a weird "church" thing going on that involved several local young women. I think that Heather and the man might have gone to Utah, because people from these parts tend to think that Utah would tolerate a polygamous family. They went to Alberta first, which I suspect was in an attempt to blend in with one of the Hutterite colonies, or set up something similar.

Her family is so sad to be missing her all these years. Could she have tried to escape from him, and ended up on the street?

They might have tried to form their own colony in the mountains, I suppose. There are a lot of alternate lifestyle groups in Idaho and eastern Washington state, communes and cults and God knows what else.

I don't see anything to rule her out, so it's worth submitting. I think there's a Namus contact for her though I don't see any LE contact.

I'll give them a call in the morning.

CarlK, who knows a bit about these things, says it looks like a lividity pattern -- not burns but places where the blood pooled while she was lying atop the tank car.

Does the tattoo look fresh to you?

Absolutely looks fresh or like it was done within the past year or so. She must've had some money because a piece like that would probably have cost upwards of 500$ (ie; most likely not homeless, if so, then it was only recent)

Anyways, so if you look closely at the edge of the leaves you'll notice that the leaves are not fully coloured in. On the tip of the red one that would have been on her right shoulder the line squiggles a bit (Which could possibly be explained if she had twitched) and the black lining of the green leaf on the left side has a significant thin spot near the tip.

There is a technique known as "marbling" -- I have a star on my back that has uneven color all throughout, done on purpose. It's very possible she wanted her tattoo to remain kind of faded out / unfilled around the edges. Now, this doesn't help us any more with identifying her, but..

Also, has anyone zoomed in on her teeth? The brown in between the teeth, is that indicative of a gum disease, heavy smoking, chocolate cake (long shot)???

Missing from LA since 5/9/2013, height and weight spot on, last seen wearing dark pants and a dark t-shirt... (Michelle Russ, 26 y/o)

Kamrie Mitchell -- her teeth look similar in appearance to the UIDs, but I can't be sure because the pix provided of KM are too small.

Height is off by two inches but chin is very, very similar.

My guess was smoking and gum disease. Her gums look like they've receded, although it's hard to tell.

The more I look at this woman, the more I think she isn't a meth addict but a young woman who is homeless by choice. I was poking around on Facebook for a bit last night, looking at people who "like" freighthopping. I think Sleuthster has already described the subculture, but my impression is that it includes a lot of teens/young people who travel around the country, hitching, squatting, etc. From what I can tell, these kids are not inherently poor—they have a ton of $$ tats and piercings, but they choose to live this way. That might explain the fact that she has a pricy tattoo but poor dental care.

Of course, I can't account for her lack of footwear or belongings. And most of these kids seem to travel together.

ETA: I like Kamrie's look, but her tattoos would seem to rule her out.

According to Namus, Michelle is missing her top six teeth and Kamrie has other tattoos.

Ugh, clearly I missed that. :( I really liked Michelle as a match, too.

I like Samantha Gonzales. I just wish we had more info and a better picture.

If our UID was hitching, train hopping, etc., it could explain why she might not be reported missing yet. It seems to be a close-knit culture, but I doubt her friends would file a report (especially when they're doing something illegal) when she may have been missing for less than a month. From what I've read, many of these people have phones, use social media, and occasionally check in with their families. But they might not actually be reported missing.

I did look at a lot of Facebook profiles last night, and while I found lots of young women with her "look," I didn't find anyone worth pursuing as a match. :banghead:

Has anyone searched the "squat the planet" website? I notice they added a way to search members by location, but I think you have to sign up to access that..

ETA: I will certainly volunteer to sign up for an StP account if no one else has -- AND if I have Carl's permission to use the tattoo/facial recon (or one or the other).

Sleuthster has covered some of the websites related to that lifestyle but I don't remember whether Squat the Planet was one of them.

eta: correction, I think it was FiveFelines. I gotta learn to double check these things...

I messaged their moderator yesterday to see if it's okay to post about our UID (no response yet)--but I didn't create an account yet.

I also contacted the mods at Hitching It, a similar website someone had mentioned up thread.

Yes, you do.

What do you think about getting these pics out on fb? If we had the name of the LE Dept handling it, we could get it out there and maybe someone would recognize her or the tattoo. It's a thought. I know my dd has a bunch of these hippie squatters train hoppers. What ever the correct term is on her fb and maybe they could pass it along.

I also have a contact to be honest with Las Vegas Sun through twitter. They follow my 7 year old. Seriously, along with 724 other people. It's a strange world. But if I had a contact for people with info I could get it out on twitter and maybe the Sun.

Really would like to give her a name it's bothering me. Disappointed that no media outlets have picked this up.

Oh! That reminds me I know somebody in one of the Las Vegas TV stations.

Right, she's not even mentioned on the Beaver Co. Sheriff's website for UIDs :(

There is a case manager listed on Namus. Is this a person at the coroners office or someone at namus?
