Highway man is even saying "where's her gear" and shoes. He's starting to warm up to you lol. He's trusting you. I'm glad because he does seem pretty knowledgeable.

Edit- I said that about the fingerprints too! I like him. Seriously, my dd's friend has been picked up so many times and fingerprinted I can't count the times. Trespassing, weed, resisting w/o violence, etc. I would be surprised if our doe hasn't.

IDK, there are homeless and transient people who have never been arrested. She'd be a decent looking girl when alive, not too old, white so she'll get the benefit of the doubt from random passersby and law enforcement more often than not... if she speaks well and thinks quick on her feet then she could go months before she ends up in an arrest situation. Unless you're visually dishevelled in the extreme way only old or mentally ill homeless people tend to be, have been around in the same place a long time or are caught doing something like shoplifting then most situations are explainable away if someone gives you the benefit of the doubt. Sleeping in a public park? Boyfriend threw you out. Panhandling for money? I lost my bus ticket please don't arrest me officer I only want to get home. Etc.

In Florida they'll pick you up for just about anything to get you off the street. Looks better they say. We have a guy I call Santa Bum. He likes my nickname. Doesn't harm anyone and used to sit on the bench in front of a shopping plaza with his santa hat on reading the paper. At night he told me he sleeps in the woods, also told me he's been arrested over 20 times for looking at LE the wrong way according to him. One day I saw him siting on the grass and I asked where his bench was, he said LE took it and told him to get out of town basically. I brought him one of those folding camping chairs that fold up into a case he can carry :loveyou: he sits in that now.

Point is, I would be really really surprised if she'd never been arrested. Her clothes had stains and looked worn/dirty. I don't think she just walked out of her apt after a fight with bf and tried to hide/hop train. I believe she'd been out there for quite some time.

Highway man just made a good point that I had thought about. Could the pimples on her face be from some chemical in the tanker?? I'm sure that toxicology would have shown that but they may not have released this info.

Just you wait -- I'm gonna get him over here to our side ;)

Ask him something for me..

Ask him if he knows if many of the squatters/homeless/train hoppers are not reported as missing or runaways. If he thinks this could be the case so she may not be listed on namus as missing.

You know you're a sleuth when you post a pic of a UID to Instagram, tag it with "decedent" and roll your eyes at the results of that specific tag. Instead of seeing dead people, like I was thinking I would see by tagging the pic "decedent," I saw 700 pics of cake. And now I want cake. Ugh.

Sleuthster-- I'll ask him now. Also, I will ask the sheriff or coroner tomorrow when I call.

I'm confused? (It doesn't take much to confuse me) but doesn't it say she was deceased for DAYS? So that would mean she couldn't have died on that particular train ride. So she had to have been put there or else she's been up there for more rides then just that one right????

Is that the remnant of eyeliner on her face, or is it just grime from the train or a post-mortem thing? It looks very much to me like at some stage in the past 24 hours before her death she used an eyeliner technique called tightlining, which involves applying eyeliner as tightly to the line of eye-lashes as possible. Meant to make for a very natural look.

I noticed what I thought was eyeliner/tightlining too. This suggests not being a homeless person, and someone who is most likely youngish to know that particular technique.

Yea, it seems like all signs at least from (STP); are pointing to the fact that she was running or homeless and not an experienced train hopper. IIRC it was a tanker that she was found ontop of and the STP guy (forgive me for not posting his name) said that those are hard to ride. And every article I've read said that hobos/trainhoppers prefer freighters. It's very plausible that she was robbed of her other clothes, however I'm not buying it that she didn't have a jacket somewhere. It's just common sense that she needed one if riding a train through the desert.
In summary, I think I'm going to go with the theory that she was dumped/fell off a bridge but alive. (maybe she did OD on something, or was inebriated. Either way that's a huge bruise on the back of her neck and looks totally different from the lividity of the body. (The way she was turned on her side, you can see her neck..) I'd say she broke it. Wether or not she was alive after the fall? there's no telling. I'm interested to see others thoughts on this and also interested to see the COD. JMHO

I tend to agree she was pushed off something and ended up on top of the train car. Or she jumped, misjudged...and well, the rest we know.

I just think that that would be so strange for a body to be pushed into something metal and round and not to fall off in six hours.

I still think it's extremely strange for a body to be on top of something metal and round for six hours in general.

Seriously the first time I read it I thought it was a spelling error and she was found IN the tanker instead of on.

I was looking at pictures of tanker cars and the only thing I can think is she was either tossed there after the train stopped, was alive for at least partly the journey or her/her clothes snagged onto the railings that seem to be atop the cars somehow. COD and toxicology report would help, especially if we knew if she fell from a significant height pre or post mortem. MOOOO~

January 13th.

She looks a little young, IMO, but the circumstances are definitely intriguing.

She's alive and in Vegas, found her on fb. Posted on there in Dec that she's just waiting 6 months so she can go see her dad (when she turns 18 and won't get in trouble I guess)

I doubt if she was on the round part. She was probably in the area at the top where there's a railing and walkway for the workers who are filling the tank. Unless it's a very new modern tank car, in which case you're right, it's really weird.

o/t I'm still laughing at: "boreda**wannabedetectives".
Don't let that deter you, people. We are good people doing good work. I'm proud to be a part of this great community. If that means being labled like that then change it to my middle name and I'll wear it honorably. <3
