Has anyone asked the Beaver Co. LE following notification of the family? She died January 13, 2014 and the obituary, if there is one would have been posted sometime around February 20th.

Are we allowed to search the obits?

I did look around in obits alittle but no luck. Here in louisiana when my father in law passed a few months back we had to pay to have a obituary in news paper. Not sure about Nevada.

Same here..

It took me several searches to find a local Utah newspaper. I tried looking for Milford but the have no news or newspaper that I could find. I finally found a Beaver Co. news site but found nothing about Jane.

Milford is a very small town... Beaver is about 30 min away and they have a weekly paper I believe, however this was not in any paper that I know of. I grew up in Beaver, it is bigger than Milford, but is still very small. I did not see anything about this in the closest daily paper, though I think everyone in the county knew about this even without it being in the paper

I let FiveFelines know last night when I found out, as she was the one who posted this thread. She did some googling; I'll let her decide what all to post, but I will include Amber's obituary.

I have to wonder if maybe Amber set out to Las Vegas to pursue an opportunity, ended up homeless and down on her luck (possibly with a drug problem) and took a train to get to her Dad who is listed as being from Colorado :/

Thanks, Astridxx. I have mixed feelings about posting stuff here, but I will say that you can find her arrests/mugshot with a quick Google search. Her most recent arrests in LV were for trespassing, drug paraphernalia, and graffiti.

It's heartening to know that she did have a family who loved her. They just didn't realize she was missing. I won't post her family member's FB pages here.

Poor Amber. She sounds like a lovely person. My condolences to her family and friends.

Her obit says she had two sons. As she was only 23, her sons must still be very young. How sad that they will grow up without a mother.

I'll have to read back, but has her cause of death been released? Was it hypothermia, as some of us suspected?

I'm glad she has her name back. My sympathy to her loved ones.

It's weird now that we know her name and info and read her obit I still want to know more. If she was homeless in Vegas why not call her family? Was she kicked out? Was she scared because of the trouble she got in? This is my problem, I can't leave things alone lol.
