Officials are searching for a man who went missing while hiking in Sevier County on June 20.
A Facebook post from Sevier County Sheriff’s Office said Brandon Sorenson went missing from Cold Springs in the Gooseberry area of the Fishlake National Forest. Sorenson left on foot on the morning of June 20, the post said.
“He was last seen on June 20 around 2 p.m. at the second tunnel on the I-70 frontage road,” the post said. He may be in the Willow Creek to Gooseberry areas east of Salina, the post went on.
Sorenson is 5 feet 9 inches tall and 165 pounds, with a slender build, and is bald.
He was last seen wearing a light shirt, dark shorts and sandals and was carrying a walking stick, water jug and shoes tied on his backpack.
Sorenson has a medical condition that needs attention, officials said.
Anyone who sees him is asked to immediately call Sevier County public safety on 435-896-6471.
