GUILTY UT - Destiny Norton, 5, Salt Lake City, 16 July 2006

Something is VERY strange about this case.

I find the capping of her teeth to be, well, creepy.

The green streaks in her hair is just plain inappropriate.

What I really cannot understand, though, is WHY on Earth would you let
your FIVE year old child storm out of the house??!!

They went to check on her about 10 minutes later.
That is absurd. Even if you live in the "safest" neighborhood anywhere,
a child of five can easily get hurt by herself. (falling into a lake or other body of water, get hit by a car etc.)

I guess we are on the same page. But posters did explain the capping.I think I was believing trauma of some sort.I know of no 5 year old allowed to venture out of the house at anytime. This is really young and the child should have constant supervision.

Gosh just imagine if these parents had neglected her teeth and all the pictures of her showed rotted teeth what could we b@%ch about then.

I have always hated silver capps but I know that some people can't afford to get the better ones. And at least they are trying to save her adult teeth by doing this.

Not everyone is born with great perfectly straight white teeth and i really think that some people just have bad teeth, does that make them less for some reason.

Why they would let that little girl run out at 830 I don't know, I wouldn't I know I am one of those overprotective moms also but not everyone is like that. Do I think they should be? Of course but not everyone comes to websleuths daily and reads about horrible crimes.

I don't know what to think in this case so far but I hope they didn't do anything but I don't think the teeth of this child have anything to do with it.

Just my opinion

You don't care for the way WHO added his picture? If you are talking about the family and the one added to finddestiny.net that photo has since been removed.

I didn't care for the way they added the picture of the guy who was questioned. He may be a registered sex offene=r, putting his photograph up there doesn't siw well with me. After all, if he had nothing to do with this, why confuse the issue with having this photogaph.

That's fine, but plenty of people still saw it.

Still no sign of 5-year old Destiny Norton and searchers are getting desperate. Police questioned Destiny's parents for hours yesterday and also gave them a polygraph test. But they say they have no reason to believe the couple had anything to do with their daughter's disappearance. However, a newly released surveillance video from near the Norton residence shows a meeting between Destiny's father and Sekivja Fehratovic, the man police questioned earlier this week. Police hope this footage will help them put together a piece of the puzzle for this case. A reward of $15,000 is being offered for info leading to a resolution to the case. Anyone with information can call 799-INFO or log onto www.tipsforcash.com. More information can be found at finddestiny.net.

Sorry...
I still think she meant when the hair cut happened.
I think IT was the hair cut.
The way she said it was odd.... but I think it goes
with the way they talk.

I agree, Harleysnana, and I didn't actually hear the conversation. I just read the transcripts and it came off sounding odd. I appreciate your thoughts on this. I just pray they find this little child soon and I hope she's alive and well.

This is an odd case with a cast of characters. I, too, hope Destiny is found alive and well.

Isn't this the Missing Persons Information and Support Section of WS? There is another board for discussing Destiny in the Missing/Located Section

What we don't know is if this meeting took place BEFORE or AFTER Destiny went missing.

They say it's an ill wind that blows no one any good. So it's a sign of the good in the human spirit that volunteers will be well fed during the ongoing search for five-year old Destiny Norton.

Devon Bondi was watching television at the early hour of 5:00 a.m., when he saw Destiny's family pleading for help, including food for volunteers.

Bondi works for a SLCFood.com; a company that delivers food from local restaurants for customers who order the food online. Bondi, who has a seven month old child, empathized with the Norton family.

Ok according to www.finddestiny.net under the family searches, they're planning a search in Tooele tomorrow. For those of you who don't know, Tooele is at least half an hour by freeway from this area, probably more. What the heck? Do they have more info or what?!

Any locals know?

  • #119
It sounds like maybe they received some tip. Otherwise I don't know why they would search in Tooele

Funny... I just looked at the picture and it looks like the cheesy
grin my granddaughter does!

I’m really finding it hard to believe what is being picked apart about
these people!
Now…she is in pain, displeasure, and disgust in her pictures??
Maybe if you saw the videos they show on TV everyday of this little
girl you could see how happy she seems!
