When a child has been missing for so long you suspect something awful has happened. When you actually hear it you can't believe it. I felt so hopeful after the alleged sighting last night and all of the excitement in the news today. I pray Destiny felt no pain. I know she is in a better place now and pray for her and her family. Mom has another baby on the way. May they both be healthy. This has to be so stressful and I worry about them. The creep who did this to this beautiful child will be punished. It doesn't stop the hurt or change what happened, but he is not out walking the streets. Anyone who harms a child could never receive a strict enough sentence. It is the most cowardly and disgusting of all crimes. Destiny, may you rest in peace little one. You are very loved and will be sadly missed.

What are beanie baby balls?

It's little balls on the inside of beanie babies....those little stuffed animals.

I feel so bad that she was so close and that she wasn't found sooner. I don't see how if they had joining back yards why the police didn't go search. She was last seen in the back yard.

It was someone who lived with her? Monster!

The Gregerson home is located next to the Norton home, with the two residences sharing a common backyard fence.

20-year old Craig Gregerson has no previous criminal record, but was arrested for a domestic violence incident in 2004.

Why do those vultures from the media have to print every little word a family says when they have just found out that their little 5 yr old girl has been murdered. If a reporter doesn't have the common sense to understand that this family is going to strike out at everyone right at first then he/she shouldn't be at the family home snooping around. They have been living on stress since Destiny came up missing. I'm sure that they are upset at LE and I would be too. They will calm down about the media, etc, but the stupid newspaper person should have kept those comments out of the paper and went and interviewed them at a later time. It makes the family sound like they are a bunch of ungratefuls and I doubt that is true. They are in shock. That just really ticks me off.

I feel like I'm in shock. I couldn't believe what I was reading. I really thought that she would be found with that man and would be alright. Here she has probably been dead for days...probably within an hour or two after she went missing.

That S.O.B. sat over there at his house listening to everyone looking for that little girl...probably looked out of his window. Probably thought he was really something being the only one who knew where she was.

I'd be ticked at LE too. It is like Jessica all over again....right next door darn it. It's to bad that uncle didn't go knock on that door and say he wanted to go in and look around. If the punk wouldn't have let him in then maybe the cops could have gotten a search warrent. I guess maybe the family of a mising child shouldn't tell LE what they want to do to look for their child.

I want to know why LE ended up going back to that house and what grounds they used to get a warrent last night.

There has to be a change in the law. LE shouldn't have to have a reason to go into a house and look around when there is a child missing. This is the second child that would still be alive if LE could have gone door to door looking inside of houses without warrents. If a person has nothing to hide they will welcome LE into their home from top to bottom. It is all about finding a missing child. I'm just so angry. This shouldn't have happened.

That little punk must have been in his back yard when Destiny went outside.
She had probably seen him before and that made her feel like she knew him.
I know what we are going to find out after they do an autopsy...like always.

I feel so bad for Destiny's family. I wouldn't be surprised if her mom doesn't go into labor. What a heartache. I'm glad that they have friends there who live with them. They will be a support to each other. It's just such a darn shame.

Oh, I agree Bobbie and what makes me so angry is the police told him he couldn't go in and yet they thought no one lived there!~ What's up with that? It was adjacent to her home and, well you said everything else I would say Bobbie.

That police dept sound like Oakies from Muskoge { just an expression, and if you really live there no offense to you}, like the song says. Twiddlin' their thumbs while she is a hostage with some perv less than 50' from her own home!

NOT the guy I reported on, but on a map, he lives just as close. When I was writing my blog entry, I kept thinking about how awful that would be, to find out she might have been right around the corner all along. Turns out I guess it was true. She fell victim to a different animal, though. You won't find Gregerson on any registries.

My blog entry stands, though -- until we have a comprehensive national database, there will be holes, and the uninformed won't know to use www.criminalcheck.com or www.mapsexoffenders.com like people here or reading my blog might know.

Nobody knew what Gregerson was up to, I'm thinking. But I wonder if some stuff about his problems at home with his wife will come out.

His wife, incidentally, gave an interview to KSL the day after Destiny vanished.

I couldn't agree more. No, I don't live there :D I do live in a small redneck town but we have a great LE. I can just see the Chief of Police from that town. Big ole fat gutt from to many doughnuts sitting in his broken down chair with his bare feet on his desk. He never moves except to reach for another doughnut ;)

That cop told the uncle he would arrest him if he went into that house..S.O.B.
Right next door. It must just be killing Destiny's parents to know that she was that close all of that time. I would just be livid. The parents must have never seen that pervert if they thought the house was empty. This whole thing is so upsetting. She was just a little 5 year old girl. Just a baby.

Hi everyone,

I write a true crime blog and I just did some internet sleuthing on Craig Gregerson. I discovered some interesting things.

Oh my goodness! I had such hopes they would find this little girl what with the sighing in the truck. Poor little thing.

It is upsetting that she was so close and yet so far away, but I doubt an earlier search of the Gregerson house would have saved her. She was likely dead before the parents even knew she was missing.

Does anybosy have a link with information about Gregerson and his wife?
