UT - Dylan Rounds, 19, Lucin, Box Elder Co, May 2022 #2 *Arrest*

  • #621
A youtuber who is a paralegal attended CV's hearing yesterday and made a few interesting observations afterwards. This is the same youtuber who recorded CC's interview with the media after JB's hearing.

IMO it's possible that CV was not involved in Dylan's disappearance.

Thanks. As far as we know, unlike JB, CV was never named by LE as a suspect.

I think JB had help but I don't think it was CV.

Given JB's weight and height, I definitely agree with you. Can you imagine someone his size trying to move a body by himself?

Definitely interesting...of note I think the idea that search warrants may have been sealed due to immunity and/or turning state's evidence.

I've checked the felon federal gun charge cases for both CB and CV on the US federal docket (Pacer) and seems the cases for both defendants here have been closed/merged. Nonetheless, docs for both defendants were previously sealed by the court.

I'm recalling that since the weapons were deemed stolen, new federal charges are warranted which apparently required the charges filed under new case numbers which I can't search/locate at this time.

IMO, there is no evidence that any defendant is cooperating as a witness for this case. Speculation by bloggers is just that -- speculation and opinion only.

IMO, Govt prosecutors do not typically discuss ongoing cases with random spectators.

I’m hanging in best I can, but the not knowing is pure torture," his mother, Candice Cooley, told Fox News Digital.

"I have been mailing out seed packets all week to all over the country, and we have local places where they can be picked up," Cooley said. "We have had an amazing amount of people join us from all over the world."

As they gear up to plant seeds, she said the family is awaiting the results of crime lab testing on some of the evidence.

I'm curious what evidence LE was able to collect from the trailer / farm and surrounding areas? and obtain from areas they may have searched related to JB and other possible unnamed suspects at this time.

If they disposed of DR in the one of the mines, they don't really need to have a lot of muscle or strength.

I remember Erin Corwin (Sp?)
All that guy had to do was get her close enough to the edge of a mine, carry out the killing and push her in.

Thanks for the link to Utah ABC News @imstilla.grandma.

If the FBI has told CC that CV's arrest warrant(s) allegedly connecting CV to this case have been misconstrued, then it follows that he's not entered into any plea deal or witness immunity specifically for this case. (To be clear, CV is no choir boy and has several unrelated charges in and outside of UT pending that we don't have info about and can't speak to).

IMO, CV's association with DR includes:

1) DR picked CV up on a gravel road several days prior to DR's disappearance after he walked out of the desert (bloody, shoeless), in a drug-induced state. We also know that after DR was reported missing, CV contacted authorities from the Ogden area to allegedly clear his own name after his desert encounter with DR was reported in MSM.

2) Suspect JB was in possession of a weapon (Winchester Rifle) that was allegedly left behind in a trailer previously occupied by CV, now squatted by JB.

IMO, the Winchester Rifle has probably been determined stolen property. MOO

James Adrian Brenner, a 58-year-old who was squatting on a neighbor’s land, is being held on federal firearms charges and has been named a suspect in Rounds’ disappearance. No charges have been filed in direct connection to the missing person case.

Brenner was convicted of shooting and seriously wounding another man at a campsite in Maryland in 1986 in a work-related dispute, according to authorities there. He has numerous other convictions over the years and has served federal time, records show.

[..]

According to a neighbor identified in court documents as DH, at some point after Rounds’ disappearance, Brenner asked him to conceal three black powder guns and a .22-caliber rifle without a serial number. After being contacted by the FBI, DH gave the weapons to authorities. Citing past felony convictions, they charged Brenner with being a felon in possession of a firearm.

[..]

As they gear up to plant seeds, she said the family is awaiting the results of crime lab testing on some of the evidence.

"We are waiting to hear back," she said. "That, we are hoping, will give us some answers."

I definitely agree with your opinion that he could be in a mine, but even still,a great many of those mines are on hills and would be difficult to access with out drag marks in the dirt if it was one person taking him. Or even footprints if he was carried. MOO

Even getting a body into the truck box to drive to a mine would require a fair amount of effort.

Absolutely, and adrenaline could play into it but still no tracks? No, that dirt out there tells stories of everything that has happened.

Hmmm. That just got me thinking.

I live alone and often need to load heavy things into the bed of my truck. To achieve this I back my truck up against a large berm close to my house. Then I just wheel or drag the heavy object from the berm into the back of the truck.

That "pile of dirt" would be PERFECT for this. And if DR's boots were kinda hanging off the tailgate or JB just threw them in the back, they could have fallen off DR's feet once JB pulled away from the berm. That could explain how the boots ended up next to the dirt pile.

Here's a really bad visual of what I mean.

Any word on the upcoming JB's court hearings? Will they be accessible to the public remotely?

We do something similar to load motorcycles.

Your suggestions sure makes sense to me.

Anyone notice a wheelbarrow, even a two-wheeler, in any of the pictures?

Oh, that is an excellent thought.

I've not had an opportunity to search JB's merged Federal file for any updates but we know that US District Court (Fed) does not allow cameras, live tweeting, inside the courtroom, and generally do not provide remote access to the public.

We know that JB has two hearings in Utah 1st District Court (Box Elder) on 8/1 as linked below, and even though the words "WEBEX CONT DECISION TO PRELIM" appear on the docket, WEBEX is not a link that directs the viewer to a virtual courtroom or dial-in passcode to listen to the proceedings.

Unless ABC4 UTAH Marcos Ortiz attends and provides an update, I think the paralegal YT host is probably the only alternative for a public spectator update (even though her YT is not being linked on the Official FB page).

Information about attending a remote hearing

The public is able to attend most court hearings, even if it is being held remotely.
  • Some courts are adding a video link to join the hearing in the calendar below.
  • If there is no link in the calendar, contact the judge's team and request a link.
  • If there is no contact information for the judge's team, contact the court location to request a link.
There is an easy guide to help you to participate in a remote court hearing.
