Did she really have a job she was starting that day or was that not true?

JMO -- is it possible that both theories are true? Someone local... who became aware of the adult content and was unhealthily interested? The odds would be vanishingly tiny imo that one of those 50 residents of the town stumbled on it accidentally online AND had criminal intent. But perhaps someone who had access to the home and snooped through her devices? It would pull the known things together.

I think it's more likely that the person she met up with from the dating site had ulterior motives and caused her to disappear.

I'd be interested to know if the people she was talking to online were local or long-distance. Imo there can't have been too many great local dating prospects in a total population of 50 people.

Her dad talks alot of sense regarding possible supsects and, if what he says is true about the step brother/step father, then the answer could lie close to home...
