Looking at that picture, I would venture a guess that his jaw was broken Monday the 3 and that is why he couldn't talk. jmo of course. :furious:

LE knows the truth, but I have a very bad feeling that when those two got married on the 6th Ethan was already gone and all the other stories are just to try and make LE believe he was alive longer than he was.
SS didn't want LE to know she married the man that killed her son.

given this (and according to this media report which we all know could be iffy) we don't know the day that daddy last talked to Ethan.. however it did say that he had talked to him every day up until that point (so I am thinking last phone contact with dad was on 2 may)??

I think it is he talked to Ethan everyday up till the 5th, (so the 4th was the last day Joe talked to Ethan) Then Stephanie started giving excuses everyday....ending on the 10th (Monday) when Stacy called and Nathan gave him yet another excuse.

Then later on the 10th is when they reported Ethan "missing".

5AM is mightly early to be out to pick up a script. Does that town have 24 hour pharmacies?

Even if the pharmacy has extended hours (not 24 hours) wouldn't it be odd for the pharmacy (or pharmacy section of a big store) to be open that early in the morning?

Yes. Walgreen's (less than a mile away) has a 24-hour pharmacy.

That is exactly what I think too. Either that, or she found him dead after they got back from getting married. The way the PC reads just seems like there is a shift in the way she was reporting the abuse. It seems like she was withholding info at first, but then embellishing towards the end. IMO

you are right... he was reported missing shortly before the midnight hour of the 11th

The marriage date was upped in a hurry for a reason...
got exactly what he wanted... to be married to her. even though he prob knew he was headed to jail.
He had (perhaps)already killed her kid and she still married him!

sorry I read this to mean he was talking to Ethan everyday until the 5th, then starting being given excuseson the 5th and finally on Monday he called and did not get a call back. Later that night they reported him missing.

Sorry if I am being a pain here butI am not trying to disagree here but that is how I read it. I didn't find anything saying his dad didn't talk to him after the 3rd of May.

I will email the media outlet to try to obtain some clarification

eta: it is safe to say that stephanie came up with excuses starting on the 5th (wednesday) and that on ONE of the mondays (3rd or 10th) Dad made his last call that got an excuse. JMOO but seeing that he tried to call EVERY DAY I would think his last attempt would have been on the 10th... ((further eta: gotta love the muddy wording in media reports..))

Great sleuthing, laytonian. I've wondered from the beginning what on earth the prescription could be. That would reveal a whole lot. Was it for an injury? Antidepressant/mood stabilizer? Infection of some kind?

If she went to the pharmacy at 5 AM to get it, it must be relevant in a big way, I'm thinking....

I think so, too.

It's not great sleuthing; I already knew it (I live in Layton). I forgot to mention that I checked the hours of the Target Superstore, Smith's and Wal-Mart pharmacies, but none would be open at that hour. It's only logical that she went to Walgreen's.

A 5am prescription? Painkiller?

We've never heard where NS worked, but since SS had only been in town a few days, I doubt she had a job. Although, there ARE some strip clubs 20 miles in both Ogden and Salt Lake that she could show her errr...qualifications at.

also: the "excuse" of running to pick up a prescription could have been just that... an "excuse".. perhaps she was going to the drugstore to get other items.

receipts and video will tell and I am sure they are all over it.

After reading what NS's attorney says I have to say I agree he 'benefits' in that he is safely in isolation at the jail rather than out on the streets. I also would not be surprised that some of the evidence helps him. I am starting to think that SS may have been the initial abuser and that NS took it a step further. I am thinking when she walked out upset it is because she realized THEY had gone to far and was worried about CHA and felt that killing him was the way to go. I think she might have been the mastermind. I think she told Nathan to disfigure him and that she is the one who went for lighter fluid because NS was covered in blood. I think she is the one who put feces in his mouth before ever Nathan hit him because the poor kid had an accident. I think they are soulmates and they fed off of each other and she thought she was smart enough to come up with a plan to keep them out of trouble after Ethan died or maybe even before he was gone because she had to get rid of the 'evidence'.
