I agree. It is speculated as rosary beads. Hate to break it to him, but his God is not helping him out now....

I noticed that too; probably a religious medallion of some type. Anything else would have been taken from him.

The only bracelet I see are the cuffs.

The above pics from the standard.....Stepanie looks a bit inconvenienced. Nathan looks downright pissed off and mama Sloop looks like there is nobody home. Something about that lady is very disturbing to me. JMO, IMO. MOO. etc etc.

Stephanie is doing her best to look like she doesn't give a hoot as her atty probably advised her one more 'HAHAHA' could very well mean "Nah Nah Nah Nah Hey Hey Hey GOODBYE" via the needle and that was her best restraint.

Nathan looks like he is struggling with some unfinished business and doing his best to not knock the carp out of the court room like he did the jail cell.

and I would like to know how to find out more about BACA and if there is a local chapter in my area of IL or any in IL. Can anyone direct me? Pm will do.

It is a Catholic Rosary and as a Catholic I am VERY offended he is wearing it.

a bit OT- a few years back cheap plastic Catholic rosary beads were the in thing for awhile. I'm not sure what meaning they had but they were worn like costume jewelry and I found it offensive.

Don't quote me as the perfect Catholic, far from it, and a cradle catholic, but I get offended when anyone portrays something from faith in a way for which it was not intended.

This case is what the death penalty was created for.

I'm sure one thing his new attorney is going to point out is that his demeanor best change before trial. Looking at his expression in those photos, I can totally imagine him torturing and murdering little Ethan.

I have no problem with inmates practicing their religion as long as it doesn't interfere with their confinement and others. The thing that confuses me is .... since when is he Catholic ??

I'm thinking he's had a 'jailhouse conversion' and, IMO, only for the purpose of soliciting sympathy from the court / jury. Not that I think that's even possible.

I don't know... I got the impression they appeared separately. They should have, in any case.

I think what we're seeing in those photos is his true nature shining through. I hope he keeps it up.

ITA However I want them to fear everyday for the rest of their lives! I want them to be afraid to sleep, eat, shower, to even blink at another inmate!! Only life in general pop. will do that-and they wouldn't last long there!:furious:
