Lorraine Jessop's three youngest children – Nathan, Summer, and Benjamin – have been missing since Feb. 4, 2023. According to court documents, they ran away.

But Jessop doesn't believe it's that simple, nor does she believe her children's disappearance is an isolated incident. She is an ex-member of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS), the polygamist breakaway offshoot of Mormonism. And there are three other mothers whose children have also disappeared – eight children in total, one as young as 12.

"I feel like that either someone took it upon themself or were told by church authorities to gather up these children," Jessop said to ABC News in an interview for "Impact x Nightline" now streaming on Hulu.

This is a very interesting article about "Road Warriors for the Missing," a group that is looking for the missing FLDS children.

A group of bikers dressed in leather have logged thousands of miles on their motorcycles on a mission: to find missing children.

*****
“I’ve been 35,000 miles on cases since May of last year,” said Jason Clark, president of Road Warriors for the Missing.

*****
Last year, they started working with former members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who are separated from their children.

The Road Warriors for the Missing are volunteers who knock on doors and follow leads in the historically secretive community. They don’t physically move the children; their focus is on locating them and alerting the authorities.

******
“We use private investigators, we use drones, we use the boots on the ground team, we use email blast teams,” Clark said.

*****
Road warriors for the missing are currently trying to locate eight children within the FLDS community. They’re hopeful that by going public with these cases, it’ll generate more leads.

*****

There is a lot more in the lengthy article.

(Note: I am going to start a thread for Salome, son of Sarah Johnson, who is mentioned in the article. In some articles he is referred to as Salome Johnson and in others he is referred to as Salome Jessup. His father is a Jessup.)

I just watched the impact episode on the missing kids. I wonder if they have looked into finacial records of flds to see who and where the hiding houses could be.
Does the FLDS have ties to the Mexico based polygamous Mormons? If so, the hiding place(s) might be out side of US jurisdiction.

As for reviews of financial records.... I have no idea if that has been done.

But, I do know that the state of Utah has been far more pro active with the FLDS than they have in the past. This includes opening a CPS office immediately outside their community and rescinding the peace officer licenses of local Constables who were enforcing church edicts as law. They were then replaced by a more active state police presence.

Likewise, Utah went to court and had the titles to some church owned homes voided as the "contracts" leading to church ownership were not lawful (FLDS leverage includes evicting "problematic" people from their homes). The titles were then returned to the families residing in the homes.

Yes they do. I know this because of another websleuth case, the LaBaron's who were shot in Meixco. Yes they are all in contact MOO from a previous case.

Here is that story: Mexico Mormons: Nine US citizens, including children, killed in ambush
