Oh my god the water works have started again! Again, this witness’ choice of words mirrors Polly.

Shae seems like she was rehearsed to bring up that brain injury every chance she gets

Shae Hareth is returning to the stand.

we are right back to Jenny and the dynamic between her and dear daddy. they have hard time communicating with each other. Because of my dad's TBI objection

So after the accident what have you observed about your father and Jenny's relationship

I have seen that dad and sister do not get along. She thinks very differently than you or I might think and she really comes form the heart. my dad is a bit of a fixer and wants to help Jenny and she doesn't think she needs fixing. I don't think she needs fixing but she thinks differently.

He is harder of hearing and so it feels like he isn't listening to them (are we gonna blame hearing loss on collision now too?)

There was a time when all three sisters got together at my mom's house when she wasn't there. can't recall whether pre or post accident. we were sitting on my mom's bed downstairs and for some reason Jenny was upset with and yelling at Polly and I couldn't understand where Jenny was coming from or why she was so angry.

- here come the water works again, so over that. that breathless little girl voice couple with the over emotionality is just not helping her credibility.

(this is meant to explain that Jenny Bea is angry with her father without reason just as she was with Polly that day.)

and now she is going back to describing what seem to me to be normal changes from aging and attributing them to the accident.

I'm done with this witness, I wish they would be too.

All of a sudden no tears and immediately argumentative with Mr. Owens. She’s gonna fight with him on every question. Apparently she has no knowledge of mental health issues of her dad prior to the ski collision.

Do you agree this is unpleasant for you?

Answer: it’s not the first place I’d choose to be.

Just answer the effing question! Yes or No!

  • #225
yes, she is being purposefully and obviously obtuse IMO during this questioning

  • #226
This daughter needed a bit more prep by the legal team but I have a feeling she sweetly-voice "NO" she didn't. lol

2016 just weeks before this accident you and dad became FB friends.

we are about see a meme showing a straight jacket described as "my family's coat of arms". with a note/comment beneath saying sorry to break this to you darling daughters.

back to Jenny (I cannot help but call her Jen nae like forest gump at this point)

Is it fair to say your dad liked attention before the accident. (she goes off about how he loves affection) He asks again. She says sometimes he likes attention. Do you agree that the notoriety of this lawsuit makes him feel powerful - no. Did he assault (punch a man in the face) - she says that is not true. Why would Jenny tell me that? She had wrong information.

This witness is lying. MOO her testimony style is similar to that of Amber Heard. She talks in circles to try to avoid simply answering the damn question yes or no. yes or no? It really is simple but she refuses to do it.

Does anyone know if GP's attorney is actually her insurance company attorney?? I just do not see him as a trial attorney that she would hire

  • #229
First time I have watched this and GP does really have an odd expression- almost as if she is nauseated.
It‘s weird…. like she has a perpetual pout.

Mr. Owens’ style of questioning leaves much to be desired. It’s allowing the witness to be evasive. He doesn’t nail down her answer. Don’t apologize for asking these questions. They’re making a lot of claims and have opened themselves up to this inquiry by bringing this lawsuit.

She switches from being a condescending you know what to acting like a little girl!

OMG we are now back to "that was Jenny's truth" about dad being domineering prior to the collision. I really do not like this sister any better than Polly. Uggh.

Do you believe your dad was hyper focused on success prior to the collision? no
Do you beleive he was controlling of Jenny in an unhealthy way? No.
Was he overstepping boundaries she set forth to protect her own mental health - objection - sustained
do you agree that even prior to the accident you would keep your father at a distance to protect your own boundaries? no

going through the timeline, when each girl moved out at what age and making a point for jury that they all left home basically as soon as they could and all choose to live in different states than dad.

so, 30 years ago you remember your dad having a successful practice and being very good at multi tasking? SNARK ALERT "yes good job for remembering that"

dudes - I am deceased now.

Did you see that giant jar/jug she sipped out of? Have you ever seen a witness bring something up to the stand like that?

This family seems strange.

That straightjacket FB post her father made….

Are you staying with your dad tonight? I am staying with him. She makes a joke about him hosting her in his BNB.

He's letting me stay there. (odd way to put that IMO)

She is making a big deal of the fact that she said "I'm glad you're okay" to her dad that night. refuses to answer that meant she thought he was okay. She actually meant I am glad you are not dead. This game she is playing is only allowing defense to repeat her email message I'm glad you are okay five thousand times.

she does not dispute that in the dep she said she was shocked by dad asking for 3.1 million.

he is asking if she ever imagined her dad might age and have normal aging decline. (I like this question)

Landing on his ribs when he hit the ground is what fractured 4 of the plaintiff's ribs, not the collision. In my opinion, his fractured ribs do not tell us who was at fault. We have no idea of the condition/flexibility of his ribs and we don't know if Paltrow landing on him, or not, would have made a difference. Some people fracture their ribs from a standing fall with no momentum or outside force. I know two people much younger than the plaintiff that fractured ribs and hips from standing falls and they do not have osteoporosis.

As a lifelong skier, I have seen hundreds of collisions and there are countless ways this accident could have occurred. If Sanderson cut Paltrow off diagonally and she plowed into him, it could look like he was in the "downhill" position. If I was a juror, considering his prior medical history of stroke, vision and hearing loss, I couldn't find anyone liable for his "brain injuries".

Witness to Mr. Owens- Are you getting your facts straight??

This is after he asked if she knew of the police being called during her dad’s second marriage. I have to say she’s got him there. He’s gotten many facts wrong! These lawyers are ill-prepared! Hence, why these witnesses are emboldened! This is cross - she should be saying yes or no only!

  • #236
got her to agree that with age people may need to focus more on one thing rather than multitasking! YES!

Asking about Terry falling and being knocked out for 45 minutes since the ski collision.

3 major events that one and then cutting himself by accident, he said it was like a crime scene. she said she saw image and it scared the hell out of her.

He asks about photo. Mark saved dad's life and I saw a photo of the bathtub where he was holding himself up (apparently it was a pretty bloody scene.

3rd was accidental overdoes of medications.

This trial, some of these people... strange. (I can't even put my finger on it).

It is, collectively so. The monotone atmosphere is weird and it has to do with the voices of both counsel and the judge. Then add in the family dysfunction, it is just strange overall.

  • #239
It’s getting worse. This family has a fair amount of issues.

  • #240
Let’s move on from this useless witness and get to the plaintiff or GP. This is a waste of time! She just said I have a plane flight to catch! He’s got nothing useful out of her.
