I think all the "hints" about a go pro video are bogus and were meant as intimidation to get an advanced settlement.
MOO
I thought the opposite actually, once TS seemed to be testifying that his lawyers and/or his healthcare insurers wanted the 'anyone got footage?' press conference I suspected that they were afraid someone would come along and disprove his version of events at a most unfortunate time (for them).

This makes sense. Your theory is better than mine. :)

Terry too buy to come to court today apparently. I think that will not play well with jury. I have never seen a case where plaintiff is not interested enough to be in court daily for a relatively short trial.

You would think the judge would instruct the plaintiff to attend court EVERY SINGLE DAY !!!!
I blame the judge for allowing such a ridiculous thing!

Does anybody but me wonder why there are so many attorneys to handle what is really a simple personal injury case? Plaintiff I believe has 5 attorneys at the table- it is almost laughable -- this is not the OJ Simpson case for goodness sakes--- I didn't even count how many attorneys are at the defense table. This trial is truly bizarre

I agree, waste of time. No one is claiming the kids saw anything? But maybe they can testify GP wasn’t watching them or the boy wasn’t yelling at her? Jmo
I picture it being Moses saying he was not yelling and more for having probably a cute kid saying it in person. Not necessary for her case in my opinion with time so limited.

I doubt he has that authority but could be wrong. It is just common sense and if I were his attorneys I would demand that he sit there.

Did anyone hear in yesterday's testimony that TS is also suing Deer Valley Ski Resort?

Terry's not in court today? Did he send Ramon to fill in for him?

I doubt he would get anywhere with that. Ski resorts have all kinds of signs, as disclaimers, that skiing is inherently a dangerous sport, and the reaort is not responsible for injuries received during skiing.

Note to the mods, the meetup link is directly from the trial. It's not a source, it's evidence.

That was his original court filing for $3 million. I think some others were dragged in as well - ski patrol etc. Judge threw it out in the end, so it has been reported, leaving him with just this case against GP.

Edit: Ah, I see you found it!

Everyone complaining about time issues and yet they are not ready to go with the technology they intend to use???? And then complain to the judge? This all eats into their time. One hour and we are on break for this reason?

yes but unclear about status of that. Defense wants that in to further show he is on a big money grab.

I think part of the problem is that TS doesn’t have to pay for this lawsuit. It’s on a contingency basis. That’s great for real victims of course. But it’s also great for litigious people .

The fact that his own lawyers rushed to get him off the stand is telling IMO. At one point he asked if he should give an example of how things changed, and his lawyer was like ‘no thanks we need to move on.’ If you genuinely believe your client was a victim of a negligent celebrity you wouldn’t do that. I wonder if the lawyers only took this case for the publicity.
I agree. I wondered when his female attorney questioned GP - and framed some of the questions about “how she got involved after” GP filed a counter for “a dollar” and her trying to elicit alleged discrepancies over “a dollar” vs “attorneys’ fees”.

JMOO.

Does anyone recall why/when/how TS changed his claim from $3.1 million to this 300K figure?

I find that highly interesting; especially when going back to his answer of how this affected him and the VERY first thing he said was how he couldn’t ski anymore. Not an injury, not everlasting effects from the injuries, not some mental or emotional or physical way his life was forever negatively impacted. I don’t think that being the FIRST thing that came to his mind helped his case. That’s what you think of when thinking about all of this now? His attorneys would want you to think he’s got lifelong damage from injuries except he had to be guided to start saying some of his answers to the jury.

This Biomechanical Engineer witness is cracking me up, he is making the Plaintiff Atty look pretty bad.
