seems like plaintiff is running the clock...this should have been ironed out prior to the clock running.

Ms. Paltrow wondering why this isn’t just a cruel joke right now, it’s real life.

This defense expert was really on point and succinct with his answers; the attorney was trying hard even going as far as almost discrediting Ramone’s version of events because he’s a “wannabe pro skier” but the expert kept explaining how the physics don’t line up.

Asking him if he’s studied “rib injuries” and if he can diagnose them; of course he doesn’t diagnose them and he never said that he did. I don’t think inferring that from what he said would be reasonable other; just trying hard to discredit his testimony in some way. JMOO.

Does anyone recall why/when/how TS changed his claim from $3.1 million to this 300K figure?

I find that highly interesting; especially when going back to his answer of how this affected him and the VERY first thing he said was how he couldn’t ski anymore. Not an injury, not everlasting effects from the injuries, not some mental or emotional or physical way his life was forever negatively impacted. I don’t think that being the FIRST thing that came to his mind helped his case. That’s what you think of when thinking about all of this now? His attorneys would want you to think he’s got lifelong damage from injuries except he had to be guided to start saying some of his answers to the jury.
I believe I read that his original claim included lots of future losses and care costs; and the court turned round and said 'No. We don't *do* future speculative loss in Utah, thank you very much'.

I doubt he has that authority but could be wrong. It is just common sense and if I were his attorneys I would demand that he sit there.

Maybe it’s an issue of him being embarrassed while the witnesses describe the evidence that contradicts his claims. As in, he knows that his story has many holes so he wants to avoid that feeling in front of others?

Anyone who feels that their case is based on truth in my opinion wouldn’t want to miss anything. He’s not able to lean into his attorney’s ear to point to various facts or emphasize important information. He is relying on his attorney to win the case no matter of his participation.

Something that stood out to me was when the daughter said that she hopes that when the trial is over he will put this behind him. It was the way she said it, it came across as him needing to let this go and move on.

I came to this in neutrality, though GP annoyed me at the onset regarding her posture of entitlement. Whether or not who hit who, TS has come across as very shady for a number of reasons. His credibility is shot.

Deer Valley Resort and Christiansen were initially listed as co-defendants in the lawsuit, accused alongside Paltrow for a claim of "negligent infliction of emotional distress." In his lawsuit, Sanderson said Christiansen lied in a report when he wrote that Paltrow had been the victim.
Terry Sanderson, Gwyneth Paltrow’s ski crash accuser, told his daughter ‘I’m famous’ after she allegedly shattered 4 of his ribs
That’s what this whole drama is about - negligent infliction of emotional distress. He’s emotionally distressed I’m sure but it has nothing to do with this incident. Smh.

ETA-I wonder if he would’ve been mollified if GP had shown more concern for his well being. Had invited him to have lunch and had coddled him a bit more on the day. It just seems like this man has some emotional problems/neediness etc and this is all misdirected.

Just heard on CourtTV that the trial is supposed to wrap up on Thursday.
It was originally set as an 8 day trial.

Yep, I just went to the link myself and it opened easily, it wasn't hidden, blocked or private. All you had to do was login first, and you didn't need to have TS's login like one attorney said. Both sides were acting like this guy must have been a internet tech or forensics expert to open the link. What an embarrassment for every attorney working this case.

The problem with that would have been that she would have been seen as "admitting guilt" by doing those things. If it's not your fault, you have no reason to coddle and baby a grown man.

I have a feeling he has had emotional issues for many years that have increased with aging process. He probably faults GP for every physical and emotional problem that has been happening to him. Additionally, I think his problems are enhanced by his inflated ego and greed.

This next witness is a doctor who suffered a stroke a while back

Good grief my heart goes out to the jury! They deserve a lot of credit, this is so drawn out and boring.

He may have some helpful information for the defense, but my goodness he is difficult to listen to---

The whole trial has had this monotone lingering atmosphere, at least from a distance. Not sure if it’s the same for the viewers there but it has an intense melancholy vibe.

The Dr. said that Terry had symptoms of Hydrocephalus.

I was able to look this up, but the jury isn’t able to … hope they understood this.

Hydrocephalus - Wikipedia

This was before the ski accident

Geez, this guy (TS) was a walking timebomb with all these medical conditions he had pre-accident! This case should be thrown out of court. SMH.

ETA: And now he admits to 6 drinks a night!!!!

I don’t doubt this guy had medical issues before the crash - and I don’t doubt that some of those issues may have been worsened by this accident - but the jury is there to find if GP was at fault for causing these issues. It seemed he had a lot of issues before the crash; some new issues and some existing may have resulted from the accident; but is GP at fault?

I found it very interesting his attorneys “couldn’t access” the link that just happens to reveal that one of their main witnesses reveals they knew who GP was after the accident and discussed it. I don’t think it’s up for much debate anyway, her whole name is used land even reference to a film she was in. It was convenient they couldn’t access it I think.

After all his attorneys made about his devastating injuries and why he couldn’t be present every day, I thought for sure we’d see a very hurt and weak man on the stand. He appeared very animated with hand gestures and seemed surprised when female attorney - sorry I forgot her name - said she would limit his questions to an hour. JMOO

Not only that but from GP’s perspective this man hit her - hurt her & disrupted her plans for the rest of the day with her kids & fiancé. Why would she want to take more time away from them to spend time with someone who plowed into her? Whether or not she was a famous actress who would want to that?

I have often thought that suit’s like this should have 2 phases - sort of like a criminal trial and sentencing hearing - the first phase should be who is at fault and the 2nd phase would be about the damages. If you believe, like I do, that they haven’t even come close to proving GP is at fault then none of the testimony regarding TPs issues after the skiing collusion would have even needed to be presented and this trial could have wrapped up in a day or two.

Can you imagine how much faster we could go towards unclogging the backlogs in the courts in civil trials if they had to prove fault before presenting any testimony/evidence of damages?
