Just thinking….. How is it, that ER was shown to be on his phone for several hours that night, after the alleged 9 PM Moscow Mule? If that was in fact the route the fentanyl was administered.
Did she lie about the time she gave him the drink? Were they both up drinking, and she made him another drink?

ETA: I noticed one of her google searches had something to do with naltrexone, which is a drug used to curb alcohol cravings.

ETA: Also interesting, she googled naloxone, which is , IIRC, used to counteract effects of opioids.

The defense had the wrong times.

It's interesting how KR's alternate explanations keep backfiring. While they seem like something possible, they instead (a) don't fit the objective facts, and/or (b) contradict something else she said, and/or (c) serve as a confession to a different crime.

She claims that CL is lying about supplying fentanyl to her. Then she says she did get the drugs, but it was at ER's request. And ultimately, that by itself would be proof of her guilt on the "intent to distribute" charges, since she bought illegal drugs to distribute to someone else (by her own admission).

She claims their marriage was solid, so of course she would never harm him. And then in a different statement, she claims ER was having an affair. She can't have it both ways. And the documents ER was doing provide the objective answer to what the real story was.

She claims in court she was not in dire straits financially, making it sound like a prosec overreach to assume she killed him for money. But the real estate business is one layer after another of documents, leaving a massive evidence trail that says exactly the opposite and even shows her doing illegal things, once it comes under close examination. Now her problem becomes her claim she had plenty of money, yet she's not paying her bills. Fraud or theft, anyone?

She claims she gave ER a drink, then went in the other room and didn't see him again until he was dead. Then at another time she claims he was up late on the internet/phone etc -- but how could she have known that he was up and doing that, per her claim she didn't see him again? And then the tech records show when he was on and when he wasn't, of course, making the lies easy to see.

Doesn't it seem like the more excuses she offers leads them to turn over more rocks to examine her excuses, and find even more she's done illegally?

I wonder if at some point all of this will put pressure on her to just make a blanket deal and see if she can minimize her punishment, rather than get buried deeper and deeper. Then again, there may be no reason for LE to have any interest in a deal, and just go for the throat.

Fentanyl is not an anesthetic, it’s a pain medicine. The drug that killed Michael Jackson was propofol which I’ve had during a colonoscopy. KR might have been confused when she allegedly asked for the “MJ stuff”.

My Mother was prescribed Fentanyl patches ( like nicotine patches) called Duragesic back in 1995 for one of the worst kind of pain on Earth- bone cancer. Her doctor told me that Fentanyl is 50 times the strength of Morphine.

I never heard of Fentanyl again until recently when people started dying of overdoses.

Somehow a drug with legitimate uses has now become mixed into illicit street drugs like cocaine and even pressed into pills that look like Percocet (Oxycodone) and Vicodin (Hydrocodone) and that’s why people are dying.

A young teen in my town died from one pill.

The Defense in this case cannot dispute the cause of Eric’s death, so I think they will try to say he was a “ partier” and got some bad stuff.

JMO
I appreciate your easily understood explanation about fentanyl. I'm sorry to hear that about your mom.

[....]

cited alleged internet searches from her in the filing that included:
  • “if someone is poisned what does it go down on the death certificate as"
  • “what is a lethal.does .of.fetanayl"
  • "can cops force you to do a lie detector test."
  • "death certificate says pending, will life insurance still pay?"
  • "luxury prisons for the rich in america"
  • "how to.permanently delete information from an iphone remotely”
  • “FBI anyalsis of electronics in an investigation”
"Most telling among these searches are her queries about how a death caused by poisoning is categorized on a death certificate and what constitutes a lethal dose of fentanyl," the prosecutors wrote.

Oh - I take it she has NOT had an arraignment hearing - correct? She has not yet plead not guilty?
TIA!
KR was arrested on May 8, and the detention hearing initially scheduled for May 19 but the defense needed more time and it was pushed out to June 12. They tried to schedule a date for the prelim hearing while in court Monday, June 12, but defense said they don't have all the discovery yet, and a scheduling conference set for June 22 at noon.

On Monday, Richins made her initial court appearance via Webex. A judge advised her of the charges, and spoke with her attorney Skye Lazaro in a virtual breakout room. Richins is being held without bail in Summit County Jail until a detention hearing set for May 19.

ETA: No arraignment yet. This generally follows the preliminary hearing.

Maybe she just got the two "nal's" mixed up, and looked up both?
