HAAAAAA

as soon as he said, “I need to check with my colleagues” I let out an audible groan. These jurors have to be so sick of him. They’re probably zoning out at this point. MOO

Interesting to see that the Disulfiram and Naltrexone are both things that help to curb the desire to drink alcohol. Is it possible that the whole "we had a drink to celebrate" per Kouri was another lie? JMO

This is MY point.

If anyone was enjoying celebratory Moscow Mules, it was probably Kouri and her mother.

I don't know how she poisoned ER. I only know she did.

Ramos has no further questions. "Enjoy your retirement," he says. Prosecutor back up and starts by asking about the fungal infection. Kouri told Uhlmer about the infection and she performed testing on it.

@NateNewsNow

Prosecutor asks Uhlmer if she had any of the text evidence from Kouri's phone to make her death determination. She did not. She did not have recordings of phone calls from cell phone companies. She didn't have access to financial documents.

On June 6, Uhlmer had nothing in her possession to rule it a homicide or suicide with fentanyl, thus she went with not determined.

Bless Dr. Uhlmer (sp?) her testimony was steady and convincing. She did a very good job IMO

Does the Defense think that dragging this trial out interminable will lead the jury to forget the evidence?

They won't.

Nesters tone and body language towards the judge isn’t doing the defense any favors.

Prosecutor finishes questioning. Ramos asks Uhlmer if she had the opportunity to change anything on the death certificate before she retired. She says she was busy closing out hundreds of cases. She says she was not provided with anything from law enforcement that would have caused her to change anything because the investigation was still active. Nothing further. Witness is dismissed. Judge calls an afternoon recess.

Moscow mule perfect vessel, imo. The ginger beer has a very strong flavor, so it can be difficult to tell how much vodka is actually in it (speaking from experience 🤣). Ginger beer would have quite a bit of sugar depending on the brand.

I had that same thought when she chucked her pencil down onto defense table before approaching the bench for a sidebar yesterday.

Kouri Richins Trial — The Secret Manuscripts

The "Grief Author" murder trial is officially underway, but the real battle is happening over Kouri Richins' unpublished writings. Prosecutors claim these manuscripts are a "blueprint for murder," while the defense fights to keep them out of the jury's hands. We’re analyzing the legal strategy behind using creative writing as evidence of intent. For the deep dive into today's courtroom drama, turn into our daily video on YouTube!

how long does everybody reckon before we get to the affair, the planned post death getaway w boyfriend, the defendant's phone records (searches) in general etc?

Yes! And immediately launched into the, “THATS PROBLEMATIC BECAUSE…” before the judge shot her down.

It feels like defense is gearing up for “the judge was biased” - trying to steal something else from Karen Read’s trial 😉 MOO

you may be right, there is plodding and then there is

whatever this is.

ETA anytime the pros. seems to gather momentum, the defense comes along with its endless droning about minutia

Court resumes at 2:50 pm MT and 4:50 pm ET

@NateNewsNow

Jury is gone, but Kathyn Nester wants to talk about an "altered documents." Prosecutor explains there was an error in information received. Judge tells defense and prosecutor to talk and see if they can resolve it. Back at 2:50 p.m.

defense's little pencil toss when not getting her way is disrespectful. Honey - he didn't kick open doors, you did. MOO
quoting myself to illustrate where in this thread it happened. ER's sister Katie was on the stand and Nester was trying to get Katie to admit that she controlled the money and the house and poor poor Kouri didn't have any support and was raising the children alone in that house with no support from the trust.

Nester spent a lot of time harping on the trust yesterday I think to make Katie look like the gold digging greedy one and Katie was trying so hard to answer without going into areas they aren't allowed to pertaining to the trust and previous litigation over it. At some point state objected and then Nester's pencil toss onto the desk heavy sigh and trounce up to sidebar. It was very noticeable at least to me and reeked of disrespect.

court is back in session. Next witness is Allyson Christensen. She is getting over a cold and may have issues with her voice. brought cough drops. she worked for ME's office in 2022. Her duties were as autopsy assistant and autopsy tech. She helped ME with autopsies.

She assisted with ER's autopsy she was assigned to handle toxicology samples. All samples collected during autopsy would be gotten ready to sent to the various labs for further processing.
