I don't know about anybody else, but out of all of the evidence noted, I am most excited to hear about these tweezers found in the jacket pocket!

Also, I find it very interesting that he overdosed on fentanyl but she left not a trace of fentanyl anywhere in the house.

Did Kouri say anything about Eric sometimes using fentanyl?

She would have been better off to go on the street and buy fentanyl from a random drug dealer.

Not that I recall.

I rewatched the body cam footage. So the defendant told LE that ER did not have any illicit drug use or drug abuse, however, her defense team attempting to make ER look like a druggie? Did I get that right?

I think that KR thought they'd find the oxy in his system. From his (expired) prescription.

How she thought they'd miss the fentynal, I don't know.

Or where ER was supposed to have gotten it from. Laced Rx, no. At the gummy store? No.

Dumb enough to think they wouldn't do an autopsy, just shrug and say welp?

I wonder if the boys saw their dad the evening before.

RICHINS DAY 3: Defense attorney Kathryn Nester is questioning Chelsea Gipson, the evidence scene technician. Nester goes through the responsibilities associated with Gipson's job - logging evidence, keeping the scene secure, making sure evidence is handled appropriately, etc.

Gipson's office does not handle blood, other bodily fluids. The medical examiner stores those items. Nester moves to admit the 911 recording. Prosecution objects based on hearsay. Judge asks for sidebar with attorneys.

In court today for Day 3 of the Kouri Richins trial — Chelsea Gipson, lead crime scene tech for Summit County is back on the stand for cross examination - we were told by a member of the defense team that Gipson could be on the stand for much of the morning.

Media row is full.

Eric Richin’s family is in the second row today.

Kouri’s family is back in the fifth row.

Much fewer members of the public today. One of the public seating rows is empty.

Kouri is in a gray sweater, or sweater dress. Hair is in a low bun, the same style we’ve seen her in all week. She looks to be wearing black heels.

What is with KR's head? I know she can turn it because I've seen her turn her head but mostly she holds her head straight and just moves her eyes sharply from side to side depending where she's looking.

I know she's going for innocent, scolded school girl but she looks furtive and emotionless.

Witness: "you mean the jail calls?"

Witness just asked if the Defense attorney was referring to jail calls.

Oops.

Jury don't know she's been in jail.

Sidebar.

Love this judge.

He neutralized it.

Admonished the jury that they cannot consider with the defendant is, was or was at any time in custody.
