Nester and Lester disrespectful to the Court. Maybe that is their style? moo

I think they are going for premeditated no matter the length of time (3yrs) it can still be considered premeditated.......maybe?

Look at the micro-aggression on KR's face, staring down the witness, the woman who bought the house from her.

Wow.

Daggers.

JMO
What is she attempting to do? Intimidate the witness?
Yeah there’s no way the jury isn’t noticing her hateful glares.
Yes. I'm sure he's noticing her soulless eyes staring down at the witnesses.

Absolutely! Definitely in my opinion a premeditated murder. Not sure why these people dont just get a divorce? I supposed they think that they wont get caught. moo

Nester tried at the end of that exchange with the judge to "assume" that obviously she would have lots of leeway outside of just what is asked on direct to attack the witnesses credibility and bias. I like him immediately shutting that down with that is a very broad statement, you can certainly go into witness's potential sources of bias.

Allison is talking about a conversation with Kouri while on vacation.

Jury was dismissed for this part of the testimony.

Allison is recounting a mid-February 2019 conversation with Kouri, "how things weren't super great in her marriage, how she felt trapped. She explained how there was a prenuptial agreement put in place."

Allison was asked to step out.Kathy Nester is citing relevance and calling it prejudicial; back and forth with Judge Mrazik.

Will the Defense or won't they go hard at this witness? They shouldn't.

It'll backfire if they do.

  • #1,969
Wha huh? Defense just testified that ER was having an affair.

WTH

  • #1,970
KR is looking at Allison in disbelief that Allison doesn't know anything about ER having an affair with a coworker.

11:48 a.m. Wright is back on the stand, and the jury is back in the courtroom. Wright says their husbands were not with them, and Kouri told her that things were “difficult at home.” Kouri said she felt “trapped” and told her about a prenuptial agreement. Wright says Kouri said it would be difficult to leave Eric, because she would not end up in a good financial position, and the kids might prefer staying with him because he would have more money. Wright says Kouri feared how she would be represented by him in the community. “I felt for her. It was a hard conversation. I knew that things had been hard since their youngest child was born.”

I was just thinking about that. I remember when I was called for jury duty recently, I was so nervous just to stand up and state my occupation in front of a room full of people. I can’t imagine how nervous I’d be to testify on the stand.

I can't remember. Who is on trial here? KR or this witness?

Geez, this Defense.

  • #1,974
Nester is so flipping hostile. Didn't Cody and Eric have a big ole falling out?

  • #1,975
Bloodworth's look on his face priceless when Nester revised her question.

  • #1,976
OMG she is trying very hard to get in that Cody reported Eric for violations of hunting license. That is Nester's big attack on this woman's credibility so far.

  • #1,977
Defense just testified again, this time that ER's partner called LE on him, over hunting licenses.

Now testifying.... asking witness how she and her husband arrange their personal and business finances.

Holy cow, are they afield.

Side bar.

Now that I have noticed one of Kouri Richin's devil horns attempting to protrude from her forehead I cannot unsee it. It's all I can see.

👿

Defense won't release her.

Wow, Defense has their britches in a bundle over this witness' loyalty to ER's family.

11:57 a.m. Wright says she doesn’t remember when she became aware of Eric’s supposed affair. Lewis asks for a “ballpark” estimate. Wright says she thinks she heard of it twice, and doesn’t remember when she learned about it. Lewis asks if she knew about it during the Costa rica conversation with Kouri, and she says she doesn’t believe so. Wright says they stopped going on vacation with the Richins because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and because of family life. Lewis asks if it’s because Eric and Wright’s husband had a falling out.

11:53 a.m. The defense is cross-examining. Lewis asks if there was a reason for the discussion in Costa Rica. Wright says she can’t remember. Lewis asked if it was because Kouri believed Eric was having an affair with his coworker. Wright says she did not speak to Kouri about that in Costa Rica. Kouri made a face toward Wright that looked like she was surprised by that answer.
