Through a DNA match the killer of Lela Rockwell has been found, he is now in a prison in South Carolina. LE is asking for help to locate Lela's family so they can tell then they have found her killer.

After posting this I did a search at pipl for Lela and it brought up her name on Ancestry.com for an obituary for a relative where Lela is mentioned. I'm hoping this is the same Lela since it also mentions sisters! The obit was from 1979 and says she lived in Moreland KY.
I have called the officer who's phone # was in the article I posted above and got his voice mail, I left the information I found and explained he could find it on Ancestry, com.
Lela was a homeless person when she was brutaly killed, at one time she had a family and was married if this is the same person. So sad

Nearly 24 years after Lela Rockwell's body was found half-naked and beaten to death under a viaduct on North Temple, Jose Ortiz-Garcia admitted to killing her.

Ortiz-Garcia, 58, pleaded guilty to capital murder Thursday before a judge in 3rd District Court. He was immediately sentenced to up to life in prison.
