Possible break in case of missing Utah college student

Authorities served a search warrant on a home in Rose Park, Salt Lake City assistant Police Chief Tim Doubt announced late Wednesday.

Police have not named any suspects in the case. BBM

"The leads we developed led us here, and then we served a search warrant,'' Doubt said. "They live here, of course they’re part of the investigation because we’re serving a search warrant on their house."
[...]
Crime scene technicians combed through the home for hours and detectives paid close attention to an unattached garage near the back of the property, Miguel Almaguer reported on TODAY Thursday. A vehicle was also reportedly towed from the property.
[...]
The home that was raided on Wednesday is a seven-minute drive from Hatch Park. Neighbors told NBC News that the man who lives there keeps to himself.

"This is a very friendly block,'' one neighbor said on TODAY Thursday. "Everybody knows everybody, but we didn't really know him. Very reclusive and not super neighborly."

Watching and waiting. Nothing good to come from this development. Sigh.....

Thinking of Kenzie's family and friends. I can't even imagine how they are feeling.

With all the LE activity at that location - Is the Lyft driver totally cleared in connection?

Yes. LE said he is not under investigation

.@slcpd have been busy in the #MackenzieLueck case. Investigators seen taking 223 ammo out of a Rose Park home and using shovels in the back yard. @abc4utah

So do they think a gun was involved? Or is removing ammo just standard procedure?

Could there be a network "nexus" of Air BNB used for snuff films? I feel gross typing that, but considering what we've heard/read/seen today regarding Air BNBs.

GRAPHIC WARNING

Or, and I hate to say it, she’s not in one piece...
MOO at this point.

She is deceased. She unfortunately met up with a monster that night.

I expect charges to be filled later today.

Since he has been named a suspect

Uhh.....the post to which you replied to has a quote from LE that says "Police have not named any suspects in the case."

  • #270
?? That article says no suspect has been named.

I’m not sure serving a search warrant on a home is equivalent to naming him a POI just because he lives there and is included?

Multiple holes could be multiple victims, or not. The earlier posts from FB, the review on Air BNB, all of it seems off.

Jumping in after days of reading the threads on this case. 223 ammo is for an AR 15 rifle.

Eta See @ardean’s post (I didn’t see it before I posted)

My first hunting rifle used .223, so an AR 15 is not the ONLY type of weapon that ammo can be used in.

Chopper 5 shows authorities digging at the residence in the backyard

There is no need to post the homeowner's name here; it is easy enough to find elsewhere.

Just report posts don’t reply and include the post - more work for mods
