Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a woman who has been missing since Friday.
Masako Kenley, a 53-year-old Japanese woman with straight black hair, was last seen heading north to Layton from Sandy on Friday around 4 p.m. to have dinner with friends. Police say she was in a white Honda Odyssey with license plate 117PJP. The minivan was found Sunday afternoon in the Sandy Costco parking lot, according to a Facebook post.

Anyone with information regarding Kenley’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Sandy Police Department at 801-568-7200.

Interesting comments, this sounds very serious. The video at Costco where her car was found is too fuzzy to tell who got out of the van.

Friday, July 2nd around 4 PM, Masko was headed to Layton to meet with a friend, never made it there, never came home. Yesterday morning her car was dropped at the Costo in Sandy, at 8:18 am. Her friend says this is completely out of character for Masako. Much more at video!

Does it sound like she was seen around the 4pm 2/2 by video as her last sighting? I wonder if she stopped for gas or something? IMO

The address is a Holiday Inn. The reporter said Sandy PD did not give additional details, just that she is seen on video there. So it could be her vehicle was caught on video driving by, just not sure at this time. Hopefully more details will be given on the sighting.

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear the news Masako has been found deceased :(

I find the street number/names confusing in Utah. I see an East Jordan River Canal, next to Scott Cowdell Park?

Family friend AC said they tracked down surveillance footage showing the van arriving at 8:18 a.m. Saturday.

“But they couldn’t see who got out of the car, so we don’t know if it was dumped there or if she parked it there,” AC said. “We really don’t know details.”

It appears Masako's vehicle was caught on camera as she traveled by the Holiday Inn, she was not seen outside her vehicle there.
