The Syracuse Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing juvenile.

Maximillion (Max) Steigerwald is a 17-year-old male who was reported missing/as a runaway on April 9, 2026. He was last seen in the area around 2650 W and 2700 S in Syracuse. He may have dyed his hair blonde and is believed to be traveling with a black backpack. Information suggests he could be headed toward Denver, Washington, or Virginia.

The second photo in his missing poster appears to be a bed in a medical facility. He's hooked up to something (note finger) but is in street clothes. I wonder if he has any physical or mental health issues that have resulted in recent care?
