Thus far, excellent jury questions throughout the trial.

I think this inmate # 3 came off very well. And did not hurt the Prosecution at all.

The jury question bolstered his claim! Take that Defense.

Anybody thinking MacNeill looks uncomfortable after this witnesses testimony?

Anybody thinking MacNeill looks uncomfortable after this witnesses testimony?

Especially after the "he said his wife drowned" part.

Martin has his own rap sheet that does not include what he is on trial for. He has been found guilty of at least two other crimes that are not being brought up in this trial because of it being to prejudicial against him. How is it right, fair, that the past "crimes" of those testifying are being use against them when they are not on trial?

Because the crimes he has been convicted of to not speak directly to whether or not he killed Michelle. The inmates' crimes per se aren't being considered. Their self-interest in testifying is, as is their credibility.

Then what about his allegations to others that he tried to kill his mother, his brother, his sister and whomever else he claims to have killed or attempted to kill? Why not bring in the fact that so many people close to this man have had "accidental deaths" or "suicides"?

I don't know why that was not brought up with his former mistress. I think it could have been - I'm assuming that there was an issue with that witness' credibility or changing story or something that made it better for the state not to ask the questions.

Re: Oxycodone vs. Oxycontin
I've noticed that the public at large seems to only know the term "oxycontin". Likely because it was talked about so much in the media as a drug of abuse, pharmacies being robbed, etc. Plus I have encountered few who have even heard of hydrocodone, but they have heard of the brand name Vicodin.

Lortab and Vicodin are trade names for hydrocodone. While less strong than oxycodone, it still has the CNS depressant quality.

I'm only addressing your comment because I recently interjected as I noticed some confusion in another post however, I'm quite familiar with hydrocodone and suspect others are as well, it's just not the medication that was typically being discussed. JMO

martin mcneil became red in the face when the first inmate finished his testimony and the sheriffs left his side to escort said inmate. And just wow; he was grinding his teeth; and chewing.

I lv body language.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that there is an attorney on the jury. To his surprise, my father was selected as a juror in a capital murder case and he was an attorney.

All things considered I think the inmate helped the prosecution.

You know, oddly I felt he came off very well. I few things Spencer really messed up on as well IMO

LOL, another inmate testifying that "Doc" was in pretty good shape. Doing sprints and push ups, etc.

  • #675
Wow, it sounds like "Doc" wasn't nearly as feeble once he got to prison. What a cure!

  • #676
Doc was in pretty good health, exercised, didn't use a cane, never said anything about having cancer - per new witness, who is having trouble hearing.

  • #677
Ok, I have to say that was a dumb question from the prosecutor - "Did he look like he had cancer?"

Defense objects, and he moves on.
