Thank you, Megnut, for finding and posting this thread.
Hidden True Crime did a great job on this story.
So far, there is no literal connection to Chad, but in my opinion, it would not be surprising to find out that these people follow Chad in some way. Again, that is just my theory.

The worst part may be that the child's mother is a registered nurse.

This is a heartbreaking case. From my superficial familiarity with it, it appears LE did a good investigation.

So sad.

MOO

I listened to a bit of Lauren's video, but it made no sense? Did these two actually admit to not attending to this child for days at a time? They actually told LE that? Only giving two sippy cups of water and a waffle, never changing her diaper? This woman is a nurse? Unfathomable.

We needn't waste any resources on them. Just weight them down and drop them off in the middle of Utah Lake - problem solved.

"Reckless Indifference" does not come close to describing their actions

The police reviewed recordings from baby monitors and surveillance cameras to see what took place. There were only six diaper changes in the last 96 hours of baby's life.

It's also infuriating that the mother was completely resigned to her daughter's death, suggesting "it was her time". She doesn't believe she did anything wrong.

Detectives who watched all four days of the video surveillance footage also noted that Ruby "did not exhibit normal sleeping patterns for a child and did not seem to differentiate night from day. It was also observed that there was loud rock/pop music played through the Amazon Alexa in (Ruby's) room that appeared to interfere with her ability to sleep at times," the affidavit says.

From the article above. Like some sort of torture chamber.

OMG. And why did they bother with baby monitors, unless they wanted to watch her die?

I see the mother is called Carrie Murray. Isn't the oldest adult child of Chad Daybell married to a Murray? So probably not a cousin of Chad, but connected. Same circle.

That's a coincidence. Chad's actual first cousin on his mother's side of the family is the baby's grandfather.

What a profoundly gut wrenching read. This poor child was only interacted with for 50 seconds in the 24 hours leading up to her death. And loud rock music playing at all times in her room? This baby was tortured.

How could anyone not be hopelessly addicted to making their child smile? It is not possible for me to feel that I’ve hugged and kissed my infant daughter enough but I’m
going to love on her extra hard in the morning after knowing what Ruby was subjected to.

Absolutely sickening, that poor little girl. It breaks my heart. RIP Ruby.

Thank you for looping me into this existing thread. I can’t stop thinking about it. The loud music coupled with isolation is especially sinister. I’ve been following true crime since I was 12 (True Crime Library in the early 00’s) and maybe it’s because I’m only 4 months into being a mom myself but this is one of the worst things I’ve ever read. To not honor the cries of a hungry baby isn’t just inhuman, it is alien and it is violence.

I'm pretty sure this is the only thread for this case now, but if I am posting in the wrong place, someone please throw something soft at me.

From this article: "“Mitchell explained what he termed ‘crib days.’ He explained that crib days were days where (Ruby) remained in her crib all day while he worked. He claimed this would occur one to two days per week,” but he claimed he would check on her two or three times during the day, the affidavit alleges."

I know the wheels of justice turn slowly, but I'm really looking forward to these parents having "crib days" of their own. Hopefully a lifetime of them.

What the heck took 8 1/2 months to arrest these evil sadists when they had the evidence from the baby monitor?
imo
