Re: height, the article states "a little over five feet", which IMO wouldn't necessarily eliminate someone of 5'4" at this early stage of the investigation, as they apparently have yet to determine a precise height. jjmo

I agree about the height.
I feel the same about the estimated time frame of 3 years since the remains were just found. But I do get the feeling LE already has a very good idea of who this woman is and that might be why they gave the time frame they did.

Re: clothing, it also occurred to me that leopard print clothing might appear at first glance to look like camo cloth after a few years out in the weather, especially to a freaked out hiker who just found a skull.

Whoever she is, I hope she identified very soon so she can be put to rest properly and if she was murdered, get the justice she deserves.

I had mentioned Janis earlier, age, location and height all match, however, the remains would be much older than 3 years, like you mentioned.

She really does seem likely. Apparently most of those houses weren't there that long ago.

No identifiers. I don't know how they'd make the connection even if they thought it might be her.

That's like 500 miles to cover. Though it says she was in a rented car, so it'd be possible I guess.
