Adding to the family’s concern, a few drops of blood were discovered inside the SUV. Deputies are currently analyzing the samples to determine their origin and whether they are connected to Cornejo’s disappearance.

Additionally, deputies confirmed that License Plate Reader cameras captured the SUV near the Utah/Wyoming border, passing by the UDOT Echo Port of Entry, just west of Evanston on Saturday afternoon.

“He had no reason to go to Wyoming,” Omar Cornejo said, adding that his father never drove the SUV out of town over concerns that it was too old

Surveillance footage captured an Isuzu Rodeo, believed to belong to Salvador Conejo Pedraza, between June 20 and 21, east of Wendover

It looks like the driver may have his/her hair up in a bun.

The timeline per the OP's article:
  • Friday, June 20
7:12 p.m.: Salvador Cornejo leaves home in West Wendover, according to his son
7:26 p.m.: His SUV is seen passing the Sinclair gas station heading toward the salt flats
  • Saturday, June 21
11:35 a.m.: The SUV passes the same gas station again
3:40 p.m.: Cameras capture the SUV at the Utah-Wyoming border near Evanston. Omar Cornejo believes the time was about 3:40 p.m.
1:43 p.m.: The SUV is seen again at the gas station in Wendover
  • Sunday, June 22
4:00 p.m.: The SUV is found abandoned on Leppy Pass Road. It is located by family members who were out searching for Cornejo.
I'm wondering why the 1:43pm on Saturday is out of order? Possibly a typo and it should have read 1:43am? If it is actually 1:43 AM, that would make more sense to me.

West Wendover to the Sinclair station at the speed limit is 9 to 11 minute drive depending on the route taken, Google maps provided two different routes.

The Sinclair station to Evanston, WY is 194 miles or 2 hours and 44 minutes, Google maps provides only one route.

I think it's as typo as well but thinking it should have been 11:43 pm as opposed to 1:45 am. If it was 1:45 a.m. it would have been listed on Sunday's timeline, rather than on Saturday's timeline.

Blowing it up (attached) didn't help much but, to me, the persons body profile appears to be someone of thinner build as well. I wouldn't rule out a taller, female driver.

I did check public records on him, other than a 11 year old case involving an issue he apparently had with an insurance company and a medical center (he's not listed as a debtor) that's been long settled, there's nothing on him in the system. That was dated 10/2014 case no. 140907409 Salt Lake City District Court. Utah State Courts

RS&BBM - That makes much more sense.

Using license plate reader data, detectives confirmed that Salvador’s vehicle passed through the I-80 Echo Port of Entry on Saturday, June 21, at 1:21 PM. This is roughly 200 miles from the location where Pedraza's vehicle was found just two days later.

Surveillance footage from a nearby gas station shows his vehicle traveling on Bonneville Speedway Road multiple times between June 20 and June 21, heading toward the area where it was ultimately found.

Really puzzling, not sure what happened here. There's really no background information on Salvador? Where does he work, where was he heading when he left his home?

Sad Update

Authorities have confirmed the body found last week in the Utah desert belongs to 50-year-old Salvador Conejo-Pedraza, who was missing since June 20.

The Tooele County Sheriff’s Office said Conejo-Pedraza’s remains were discovered Thursday, July 10, near Silver Island Loop Road. The location is roughly nine miles from where his abandoned Isuzu Rodeo was found last month.

*****
On Wednesday morning, Sgt. Dane Lerdahl said the sheriff’s office determined Conejo-Pedraza’s death was a homicide.

Lerdahl said police had a suspect in custody, Geoff Goldsborough, on a warrant.

Police said the homicide investigation was ongoing.

On Wednesday, the sheriff's office arrested Geoffry Goldsborough in connection with Pedraza's murder. He was booked into the Tooele County Jail.

No further details about the case, such as a connection between the two men, were immediately available.

I'm not quite sure what to make of the suspect if this is him. His LinkedIn page:

And another business related LinkedIn page that lists him as a "property developer" (with the same photo as the other LinkedIn page)

Property Developer

Goldsborough Co.

Aug 2017 - Present 8 years

2 hours drive from Salt Lake City, just past the border of Nevada.
Building a sustainable private estate, and business on 40 acres of beautiful desert land.

The "property" he is "developing" is where he and his wife live "off grid". Wondering if it's there he encountered Mr. Pedraza?

His background is "interesting" He states in his LinkedIn pages he was a Navy Chief Petty Officer AND an enlisted Army E4 AT THE SAME TIME. (1996 - 2000). (Maybe you can be in the National Guard for one branch of service while full time listened in another branch, anyone know???) And from there, he went from being an E4 to an Intelligence Office with the Defense Intelligence Agency where he was deployed to Iraq. He's also worked a painter and a sculpter, alpaca farmer, salesperson, security guard and security consultant, crew boss for the Nevada Div of forestry, and an International Shipping consultant,

His blog which has the same photo as his LinkedIn page.
Back to Montello References the Alpaca farm and he has a lot of info on the earth being flat (with links of the proof) on his June 20th post.

A news article about his wanting to get a cell tower in a remote area turned back on as all I could find recently in msm.

Very interesting information. A Google search regarding being in the Navy and Army National Guard at the same time only gives an AI answer and various discussions on other boards and Reddit. Everything I've read stated you cannot be in two branches of the military (including National Guard) at the same time.

Hopefully, someone with military experience can chime in.

A man was charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Salvador Pedraza, a man who went missing and was later found dead in Tooele County in July.

Recently unsealed charging documents identify Geoffry Goldsborough as the suspect in the Pedraza homicide investigation, stating that he had his initial appearance in court in early August.
