MISSING: Deaf woman, possibly traveling to Colorado with a man, sought by police

•23 yr old, white, female
•six-feet one-inches tall and weighs 156 pounds •blonde hair, blue eyes
•light-colored skin

•Police say she has a diminished mental capacity, has scars on her left wrist and is diabetic. Tracy is also deaf.

•believed to be traveling to Colorado with an unidentified, African-American man in a dark colored SUV with CO tags.

Deaf, diabetic Utah woman is missing. Police ask for public’s help to find her.


Shaley Nicole Tracy, 23, is deaf and uses sign language. She’s also diabetic and does not have an insulin pump with her. She’s described as 6-foot-1-inch tall, 156 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Tracy was last seen in at 342 W. 970 North in Tooele at about 5 a.m. on Friday.

I’m definitely assuming so. You can find who she’s with by looking at the top post and who liked it. He’s at the bottom. I’m praying both are safe and he does the right thing and Shaley gets her insulin!

IMO, both families are working together to get them home safely. Prayers that they do the right thing for their own health and safety.

I wonder why he isn't considered to be in the same circumstances as she. He is deaf too, has a medical condition that sounds quite serious also. They are both adults and neither seem to be making very good personal choices. There is no force reportedly witnessed. I'm glad the families seem to be working together.

It could be as simple as a legal distinction. There may be some sort of guardianship or power of attorney for her.

Well, it looks like that as of yesterday she and he were still alive and well, so hopefully they'll be a "home safe" update soon

I have not seen any further MSM updates in regards to Shaley and her friend.
The above article doesn't provide any details as to why she is no longer considered endangered. No indication if family made contact with Shaley.

If you look on FB which we can't list here under the terms of use, multiple family members say she has been in contact and they working on getting her home.

The families are working together in staying in contact with both of them. She must be getting the insulin for her diabetes if she is no longer endangered. That is a good thing. The families must be in contact with them both, encouraging them to come home for they both have similar difficulties.

Tooele City PD has cancelled our Endangered Missing Advisory Alert. Shaley Tracy was found in Colorado and does not appear to be in any immediate danger.
