Could be a host of things, possibly missing items, a disturbed scene in the house, no note from Uncle, Uncle left phone & board behind, maybe she did not allow him to be alone with the child & so forth.
He’s a self proclaimed daily drug user, according to LE, mom probably didn’t trust him to be with her daughter.
And I don’t mean because of any unusual interest he might have had, I mean maybe she found him irresponsible & preferred his encounters with her daughter be supervised. Moo

I believe something occurred in the house. In fact, I'll go as far as to say that I believe SA happened in the house and perhaps he killed her there as well. It could be as simple as strangulation. The deed is done and he needs to get rid of the body. He won't be able to carry her forever. I get that she's little but weight is weight. He didn't take her all the way to Hyrum. No way. He disposed of her close to her home and then he legged it out of there.

I doubt it. My state (KY) just started using rapid dna testing on SA victims, but need a rape kit. We are the first to use it. Even if they have proof of his semen on her items it doesn’t prove SA. Moo

This case is giving me an anxiety attack. Can you imagine? This drunk, high, angry degenerate is staying over at his sister's house for an event and decides to what? He just meanders into his precious niece's room? Decides to harm her? Decides he wants to beat her for some reason? Or sexually assault that innocent little darling?

And then her furtively carts her out of the house and eventually dumps her body somewhere. In a dumpster. Or under a tree. Or in a ditch or whatever.

And then arrogantly goes about his business and angrily refuses to identify himself as he's required to do?

Despite seeing case after case I can't fathom this. (I can't fathom any of them really). Lizzy is a precious little baby doll.

What kind of creature decides this is a good thing to do for himself? Why would he want to?

And how does he feel now? If he wanted to claim some sort of psychotic break or drug induced fury he couldn't control or doesn't fully remember, he would be cooperating.

The fact that days later, fully sober, probably desperate for a drink or whatever, he is still not cooperating, indicates his cold, callous, sinister nature.

I also say offer him one beer and a cigarette in exchange for her location and the truth, he should be about that desperate by now...

Not all child molesters are actual pedophiles. Many of them have consistent relationships with adults their own age and aren't into child or anything.

These people are twisted regardless of course. They appear to be arrogant, entitled, defects who view women and children's bodies as theirs for the taking. Many times it's either part of a pattern of on-going, secret abuse against a young relative or it's a sudden, shocking, opportunistic attack.

What's so sick about this case IMO is not only did he prey on a sweet little, doe-eyes darling, she is his own niece! His own flesh and blood. His sister's kid.
