Maybe they know something we don't?
Or maybe they are in denial?
Or maybe detached?
Or maybe they are panicked and we just haven't seen it.

I don't know... I hope we are missing information and she is safe somewhere. How awesome would that be!

It would be a great end to this. Fingers crossed, but......

Hmm. There either must be a car involved or they should be searching near the residence. Something is missing here. I also do not entirely understand the fact they were unsure if she was in a plaid skirt or blue jeans. All I can figure is they are going by the clothing they think is missing? Or is it a case of they can't recall?

I wondered about her outfit too. I’m sure mom is beyond mortified & can’t recall. Wonder if she fell asleep in her day wear, so she didn’t have pajamas on. Of course we don’t know what time she went to bed or went missing.
See scanner thread.

Checked the jail site, he’s not booked in yet.
But my gut tells me he’ll be spending the night and many more there.

Yes, staying up late playing with an Uncle maybe just fell asleep on the couch. Once kids are out of diapers a lot of people will not wake them up to change them into jammies.

Could it be he went home and she wandered off on her own? And if it is the worst scenario, he didn't have a car, so she must be close. I can't see him carrying her, or her walking more than a mile or so.

I was going to check that awhile ago and forgot. Thanks for the heads up.

I have a little girl this age. I'll admit to having a hard time keeping up with what she's wearing. It's currently her life's work to change what she's wearing all the time. They just might not be able to remember what it was she was wearing last.

I don't know yet. This is just too weird. I mean there is a search now so that helps but it's still just weird. Maybe she followed Alex out and fell into the canal?

My guess is the wandering off will be the story given--but I seriously doubt she did, jmo.

I agree with you that I do not see him walking with the child very far. If it was he that was with her...

Doesn't sound good at all. Apparently dogs are searching a field.

No, it’s sounding worse by the moment.
As far as I can tell, he’s still detained....I read between the lines, LE not thinking of this as a “walk off”. Jmo

A few hours before dark, right? I hope they have everyone available on the ground.

Logan Police said they believe she was last with her uncle, 21-year-old Alex Whipple. Police said they found him this afternoon, but she was not with him. They have detained him for questioning, but have not arrested him.

It doesn't appear his sister was married(Elizabeth's Mother), The brother stopped by to visit, maybe his sister and Elizabeth fell asleep on the couch. Alex left, never locked or closed the door behind him, Elizabeth woke up and wandered out of the house. The sister awoke in the morning saw they were both gone called the police hoping that Elizabeth left with him, but maybe actually left on her own. Police may have him to rule him out to see if he changes his story or breaks. As of now no arrest so looks like he didn't. When a family member goes missing every family member is under suspect until they are ruled out.

Elizabeth is 5. I am sure Alex had plenty of visits at his sisters with Elizabeth, my opinion if he was a predator (which I don't think he is) he would have done something before now. I would even bet he babysat for Elizabeth. Just my opinion.

I’m pretty sure that this is not going to be a “found safe”.
Yup
Pre-tty Sure.

Never know. Personally, I think there’s a whole lot more to
The story, but just MOO.
Let’s hope they find her before dark.
The window of opportunity was small, compared to some cases. Moo
News report he has no car, I assume his sister does, hope he didn’t use a car, return it, leave on foot.
