So according to recent reports, I think it was on FOX national news, the husband didn't keep the appointment with LE for a third questioning about his wife's disappearance. They have no future plans to meet with him. In addition, he's not speaking to Susan's dad either, other than the initial contact to tell him Susan was missing.
Yep, same old pattern. With a few variables and other predicted facts to yet surface, IMHO, this is NOT going to end well. I HOPE Susan's family is speaking to a lawyer about possibly obtaining custody of the children. Whether the husband harmed his wife or not, he's a danger to his children as a parent, taking them camping in the middle of the night in sub-zero temperatures and snowing. Lack of common sense.
FWIW, during the Laci Peterson case we had a person who was in the legal field who answered questions from our forum. He was very bright. He said that when a person is murdered, (yes, I'm sorry but that's what I believe happened to Susan), there's only one reason for the body to disappear and that's because then there's no {proof} of a crime. Who would want there to be no {proof}? well, the husband of course because he would be the FIRST person looked at.
I can't tell you how many of these cases on the pages of WS are here unsolved because, although you JUST KNOW what happened and who did it, there's really no {proof} the victim is REALLY dead. That happened last year on the Kelly Morris case,................overwhelming evidence of what happened, except a body.................until just recently and hunters stumbled upon her skeletal remains and her husband was IMMEDIATELY arrested for murder.
Let's pray they find Susan. The problem is he had so long to dispose of her body, it could be anywhere. Let's hope LE has a few more aces up their sleeve as far as tracking EXACTLY where he was. NOT where he said he was, but where he ACTUALLY was.
JMHO
