saw a comment at ksl.com that I didn't notice last nite --- it's near the comment about "mommy in the woods"- snipped part of it

Mimi
7:11pm - Fri Dec 11th, 2009

"Josh made dinner, which was a little uncharacteristic of him, Susan had an ear ache and went to lie down. Then the family friend left."

Yowza -- IIRC, Chris Coleman uncharacteristically cooked dinner for Sheri for her last meal.

'Mimi' has also said that she bought a house that Josh sold as realtor but is no longer a realtor.

Did 'friend' see her? Was that what Josh said?
Was she dead already?
and Josh cooked for a 'friend' to have an alibi?
When and who was the last person to see Susan up and around?
What time?
I wouldn't go by any story of Josh's............
I doubt if Josh put her near camp because that's where LE would go check out first.
My guess is she was dumped by him early on his trip to ???

OK, I finally came upon the post on the above link where the child told LE that daddy said, 'mommy stayed in the woods awhile.'

OK, this is creepy. It's like the Cutts? case, where 'mommy was in the rug.'

The story and timing is still confused. We read earlier that he was gone for a while with the children and returned about 8:30?

Wonder if he initially dumped Susan's body and went back home and decided it wasn't concealed enough and too close to home, thus the after midnight run? Then he had a total of 18 hours to dispose of her body.

Hopefully, the children will reveal more. "Out of the mouths of babes."

From what I've read, a 'friend' came over for dinner then left when Susan went to lie down because she didn't feel well...The friend said Josh left around 5:30 to go sledding then 'get something to eat' & was seen back at the house around 8:30. (I'm guessing it was the neighbor that saw him come home @ 8:30.)

It's only Josh's 'word' (that I've read so far) that Susan was alive at 12:30 when he left to go 'camping'.

So it seems Susan wasn't seen by anyone but Josh after 5:30-ish.

Another sociopath no doubt. Makes perfect sense if he said he went South then of course he went North. Love the way he say's in the one video "The kids loved her." Note past tense...

I think he's a control freak, more than anything else.

Are Josh's parents still living? Have they said anything in the press?

I think, like an earlier poster, that Josh poisoned/drugged her early on. A friend comes for dinner (maybe josh didn't know about this, maybe it was planned so someone else sees her that evening) Susan went to lie down. He takes the kids out so they don't hear their mom in pain or calling out for help or for a doctor or whatever effect whatever he gave her may have. He comes back 3 hours later thinking the drug/poison worked. He puts the kids to bed. Gets Susan out of the house, or maybe first kills her if the poison or drugs didn't kill her, cleans up, then wakes the kids for "camping" to dispose of the body. I sure hope the kids didn't see a thing; how horrific. I also hope the 4 yr. old tells all. 4 yr. olds are very observant and like to talk in details. I am sure he could say whether or not they were camping in a tent, in a car, in a motel and most of the details around wherever they were.

I also think maybe the spot that was cleaned may be from vomit if Josh poisoned her or drugged her. Just a thought.

I would think if that carpeting has a pad under it then LE could rip that carpet up and probably find blood in the padding. I'm sure blood isn't any easier to get out of carpet padding than doggie pee is...kwim

Blood, or a spilled drink full of some kind of poison.

Either way, police will rip off the rug and go down to the fibers to try to find what he was trying to clean up.

I was right about his third interview, he was a no show. He knows better, and I'm sure he's talked to a lawyer already.

I feel so sad for the children. They do not deserve what has happened.

maybe the no show will push LE to make an arrest??

I'm still wondering if he had a cell phone w/ him & if LE is still waiting on ping data from service provider.

Monday afternoon at three, she [Kiirsi Hellewell, Susan's best friend] spoke with Josh by phone.

She said he was driving around with the kids.

Hellewell told him about Susan and that he needed to come home.

According to Hellewell it took him two hours to get home.

So according to recent reports, I think it was on FOX national news, the husband didn't keep the appointment with LE for a third questioning about his wife's disappearance. They have no future plans to meet with him. In addition, he's not speaking to Susan's dad either, other than the initial contact to tell him Susan was missing.

Yep, same old pattern. With a few variables and other predicted facts to yet surface, IMHO, this is NOT going to end well. I HOPE Susan's family is speaking to a lawyer about possibly obtaining custody of the children. Whether the husband harmed his wife or not, he's a danger to his children as a parent, taking them camping in the middle of the night in sub-zero temperatures and snowing. Lack of common sense.

FWIW, during the Laci Peterson case we had a person who was in the legal field who answered questions from our forum. He was very bright. He said that when a person is murdered, (yes, I'm sorry but that's what I believe happened to Susan), there's only one reason for the body to disappear and that's because then there's no {proof} of a crime. Who would want there to be no {proof}? well, the husband of course because he would be the FIRST person looked at.

I can't tell you how many of these cases on the pages of WS are here unsolved because, although you JUST KNOW what happened and who did it, there's really no {proof} the victim is REALLY dead. That happened last year on the Kelly Morris case,................overwhelming evidence of what happened, except a body.................until just recently and hunters stumbled upon her skeletal remains and her husband was IMMEDIATELY arrested for murder.

Let's pray they find Susan. The problem is he had so long to dispose of her body, it could be anywhere. Let's hope LE has a few more aces up their sleeve as far as tracking EXACTLY where he was. NOT where he said he was, but where he ACTUALLY was.

Do we know exactly when the missing persons report was filed by the family?

LE didn't go to the house until Monday morning.

The family HAD to think something was up to call police that soon. Unless they knew the good friend who took care of the kids and called her when they couldn't reach Susan. Only to find out the kids hadn't been dropped off. I have frequent contact with my family but I do not think they'd call police if they couldn't get in touch with me for 24 hours.

Wowser! Great find!

Yes!! A possible lead as to where he was. The friends and family said they were trying to call his cell and hers and couldn't reach them. Now this indicates he did have his cell with him and he answered it when he 'felt like it.' Let's hope it had GPS tracking type technology even if he had his phone off!

I'm not sure if that's possible, but hoping so!

I believe it may have been 'his family' that became concerned initially, Monday morning when the children weren't dropped off at daycare. It went from there, probably making contact with each of their places of employement and when they weren't there either, they asked LE for a 'well check.' That's when LE broke the window.

I hope the fliers they are passing out have the family picture on it and not just Susan's or better yet a pic of Susan alone and a family pic. Most likely there won't be any witnesses coming forth to say they saw Susan any time after 5:30 on Sunday. But there may be witnesses coming forward to say they saw Josh and the kids sometime between Sunday evening and Tuesday morning.

In the very least they can trace where he was when he answered that call. Although maybe he answered that call and knew the call would be traced so he was in a completely different area from where he was the night before. Ugh.

yes Susan had a good job and looks like she made the family's income, but he didn't work much, correct?
Yet how many cells phones did they have? a camp? new compressor?
Christmas time...........money?
In these hard times even gas for an unneccessary midnight trip to camp is a treat.
Was the house decorated? Do Mormons decorate? Celebrate any holiday like Christmas?
or is it just another day to them?

They celebrate the typical Christian Holidays... although Easter is a toss up depending on the person. I won't get into it, but it can be Googled for explanations.

I've been off WS for a couple of days. Thought I would check on this case after finding out about it last night on Nancy Grace. Has a search warrant been issued for the home and the vehicle? Thanks for any help.

They had a warrant for the house and it was searched - items taken. They also took his van. Not sure if he has gotten it back yet?
