So, the father said that he did not know that it was Sunday when he decided to go camping? He didn't know what day it was? I've read comments that he did not have a travel trailer so I'm assuming he took a tent? But, he has stated that he wanted to try out a generator? I'm wondering what he was using the generator for in a tent? A heater? I'm beginning to think that something besides the tent was in the tent bag. I wish I knew if LE had confiscated the tent and the tent bag or if the bag is missing. This guy is a lousy liar.:waitasec:

Blue are added as the case developes and Websleuthers mention them

Thanks Texas Mist! :)

here's another comment I found that I keep forgetting to post -- how much more disinterested can he sound -- if this post is true.

Last night at the vigil the only thing he asked for when we asked him what we could do "Look for her." Josh, we just need to know where to look, and we will have a huge turnout. Where should we look?

or hurts his children............

This is the thing,..............from a link on one of the message boards, I read a very long article about counseling with husband/wife w/regard to 'domestic violence.' They said it is dangerous to counsel husband/wife together because the 'abuser' can become offended or violent when confronted with the facts. (ie he's abusive) The abusers usually blame the 'victim,' ie they made them do it. The article went on to say that these types of counseling centers usually required a series of sessions with the abuser alone before they will counsel the couple together.

That being said, now that there's 'control issues' surfacing and he's starting to feel cornered, ie he said to one reporter, 'I didn't do anything to her,' or something like that. He knows everyone is looking at him, he's being criticized by the press and friends and relatives in public.

Who knows if he could 'loose it!?'

Also, there's been some developments recently, with other missing wife/mothers, where the husband is 'suspect or POI' but haven't been arrested, where-by the wife/victim's family has gained, at the least, temporary custody of the children.

I HOPE her family is taking steps to take custody of these children as we type!

I hope they arrest this guy before he freaks and split's town or does himself in....

He definitely doesn't appear to be very stable in a mental sort of way. I hope that the children stay with relatives and not with him alone.

and if his generator wouldn't work ........what was his plans for heating for his sons?
To freeze to death?
Generators need gasoline to run.........to use an electric heater????
and a tent with babies........NOT!
This is crazy!

I think I would start the timeline for Susan or Josh around 8:30 pm on Sunday..I believe someone saw him return home at that time..
So we have 8:30 pm Sunday Dec 6th until he arrived back home with the kids which was somwhere around 5-5:30 pm Monday Dec 7th.

That is around 20-21 hours...

We cant go with his time given of 12:30 am because he is a liar...

He also stated at first when asked where he went camping that he went south and then changed it to that Trail area....I would probally go with his first freudian slip....

Josh could dig a hole in the frozen ground but it would certianly take awhile if he had a pick and such...this could be why his hands looked "freezer burnt" according to the neighbor who saw him especially if he had no gloves.
I would think that the lakes are all frozen over by now around there, that is except for the Great Salt Lake I do not believe it ever freeze's over....jmo

Thinking out loud, frost bitten hands, computer geek, I'd think ill prepared
to deal with the elements.........
not much physical more mental capabilities........
took her by sled? into a wooded area? kids in car? told them 'mommie staying in woods?'
snowing....covered his tracks then he left for parts unknown.......
first sledding event..get rid of Susan, come back home...kids tired went to sleep?
then clean up and decide what to do next........
scrubbing carpet with cleaner and no gloves.........chemical harshness & frost bite???

I hope LE was able to take pics of his hands.....or they are at least in plain view in any vids they have of their questioning.

What is suspicious about his activities also is that he would take their only vehicle off before he was to start a new job on that Monday and how was the wife to get to work? He nor she called in to work or daycare to say they wouldn't be in. His college experience doesn't seem to be the truth, either, as posted on his former realtor web page.

Well if he disposed of her the first time during the "sledding" adventure...that was from 5:30 to around 8:30 pm ...right ?

Around two hours time frame...I wonder where they like to go sledding?

Here is the thing as well If he was a realtor he would probally know that area fairly well from showing properties....I wonder if he had any listing's anywhere before that were out in the boonies so to speak ? Where perhaps it was only a second home for summer time....no one home through the winter ? Just thinking out loud here....

And the area would have to be acc. by his van for the most part...he could probally drag her by sled but I don't know how far he would go and leave the kids in the van alone ?

This should be added to THE LIST...........college and now like Hasking /double life???

Exactly what I am thinking...........something happened say after guest left,
he bundled kids up, got sled etc ready.........I'd guess the dumping was around 6:30-7:30..........a couple sled trips up a hill for kids (to be seen!)
and home by 8:30 neighbor seeing..
very close to home area that he knows well!

It's also odd coincidence that Lori Hacking worked in Wells Fargo brokerage services.

I wonder if he did poison her with the dinner he cooked. He did say he took the kids sledding and then to go eat...why would he take them to go eat if he had already cooked at the house unless he only cooked for her ? Did the guest eat ?....another slip ?

Sunset was at 5pm in Utah last Sunday....for them to be seen sledding, they would have to be sledding where there was lighting.

Also, if he tried to hide a body on Sunday, sounds like that also would be in the dark...so if he did that, seems it would be an area he was very familiar with & had confidence a body wouldn't be seen in daylight...well, at least for a while, if ever. :(

ETA: I'm just having problems believing anyone would let their toddlers sled in the dark when it was soooo cold....I could see crazy college kids doing it, but not toddlers....but that's just me & my admitted total lack of personal experience w/ sledding.

Man, this is the Hacking case all over again!

ITA....he took kids to a lite up place to sled ride where he could be seen like in an alibi...........
and dumped Susan off before the sled ride.
Not far from the van, but kids couldn't see what he was doing.
That could be the comment about mommie stayed in the woods?
He had the sled in van already...........just dumped her over a wooded ravine? cliff? by a desserted unhoused area???
got in van and took kids for fun sled riding, with a promise to go to bed when you get home, mommie is sick..........then he did his clean up and plan to leave!

I saw that also...........if kids eat well at 5:30pm.......for a snack? at 8???
Why not at home? Baby is 1......like in bottle........

The key this is with the 'guest for dinner'...........man/woman?
Why not a couple?
Did he/she eat?
Did he/she see Susan? Talk to her? What was Susan like before dinner? after dinner?
Where were the children during the dinner?
I believe this person could also be the last to see Susan alive and may be able to fill in the blanks.

I thought I read that the guest for dinner said Susan went to bed early with an earache. Did I just imagine that?

Maybe the kids got a small dose of children's benadryl. That will knock them out, sound asleep for quite awhile.
He leaves for the two hour time period.
Comes back, and then decides he needs to get out of there.

I don't know what happened, but I have a strong feeling he is the cause of Susan's disappearance. IMO>
