Hello group- trying to catch up on all the posts here, and first time posting on this forum. I, too, could not believe what I was seeing as I watched JP answer the questions from the reporter. He absolutely was grasping at any words he could and not making any sense, at all.
The video of him picking up his son and the way he held him and the look on his face made me think- this guy really messed up and knows it-he looked as though he was trying to get as close to the baby as he could, like he was looking for comfort and seeking refuge in the child. I think he did something really bad, too imo

In the now familiar interview of Josh on his porch, a man stood well back from JP--safely out of view of any cameras--and even when JP finally had to motion and asked him to enter so JP could escape the reporters, get inside and close the door, he deliberately kept his back to the cameras. Nor has he allowed anyone to photograph or film him since then. Still looking, can't find anything... was this actually SP?

"I'm not making any statement because it doesn't matter how benign it is or how supportive it is. Somebody will twist it around."

This man "isn't making any statements" IMO because he doesn't want his face seen and recognized.

Steven Powell's interview behind the door reminds me of Michael Robinson interview in the Drew Peterson case. Maybe both are hiding from the cameras for the same reason.

Speaking on NG - I just don't watch her anymore. If I hear one more story on TW or the Sheen's I'll scream. And Jane - I don't get her. Some of her shows are really good, while others I sit scratching my head. It's kind of a hit and miss. Then there's Joy Baher - she touches on some interesting topics too, but then goes on to tabloid stuff. I think I'll stick to this MB. You all provide more information than all 3 shows put together!

What footage or photos of SP do we even have? This guy's shunned cameras altogether, and shied away from ANY media who might capture his face from the start IMO. PLEASE tell me what this man drives. PLEASE lemme plaster HIS face--w photo of HIS vehicle or loaner--on fliers and splash that across the internet, I'll give you a media blitz... :biggrin:

Kiki, Have wondered same, then think I may know of one--a profile. Look back to pics when Josh attended vigil in WA. There is one pic with a man standing to the right of Josh, and looks to be about the right age, and resembles him.

Am looking through thread #4 for it, this may be a job for Amandareckonwith (hint)

Regarding Josh's lawyer, Scott Williams, we pretty much agree that Josh can't afford to pay for his services so he must be doing it pro bono. But do we know WHO ACTUALLY HIRED HIM?

Where I'm going with this is -- The Church of LDS, like any organization with a reputation to maintain, certainly makes provisions for situations which could cast them in a poor light. While I can't find anything specifically linking Williams to Mormonism, Elizabeth Smart's ordeal with Wanda Barzee (a Mormon) was another case where LDS had cause to cringe; and Williams repped Barzee apparently for free also.

I'm certainly not suggesting anything sinister here, merely a possible explanation for Williams presence. What if he is a LDS-retained attorney, called in to represent indigent Church members who need criminal defense?

So freaking ridiculous. What in the world has Josh said that has misinterpreted? The problem is that HE'S SAID NOTHING! He had the one appearance where his brother-in-law said (while Josh stood quietly, looking stoned), "We don't really know what his involvement was. But that's not what we're here for." It was bizarre. Then he had the other interviews where he sounded like he was on drugs, and gave conflicting statements all over the place.

Give me a break, you imbecile. Poor Josh has been vilified? How sad! THE MAN VERY LIKELY KILLED THE MOTHER OF HIS TWO CHILDREN, AND IS NOW TOO COWARDLY TO STAND UP FOR IT! How can anything vilify more than the simple truth in this case? Is there a way to put a negative spin on WIFE MURDERER? Does it actually get worse than that? Is there something like a puppy-abusing wife murderer?

I'm keeping up too, via Salt Lake City Tribune- I'm reading comments there, too. Has anyone looked at JP's real estate website? Kind of interesting. In the "about Josh Powell" tab, public speaking is listed as one of his attributes.. also Kiirsi is one of his testimonial clients. Likes cabinet making..

We know SP was in Wa by Sun 12/20 where he refused to give an interview to SLTrib. I was certain I read he was in West Valley City shortly after Susan was reported missing, and just wasn't exactly sure when he arrived. Now I can't find where I read this. Does anybody else remember this or am I losing it??

The following is "porch interview" at the close of which (1:20) the reporter asks another older male who enters Powell home with Josh to confirm whether he is JP's father... to which he can be heard responding "friend."

Can we identify this "friend?" Odd, he won't show his face to the camera.

ETA: Well in the UT 12/10 vigil, Josh is holding his son who is wearing a very similar red coat. I don't see anything else in WA. Of course it's possible that the "red coat" on the porch lied about his ID to keep interest away from him.
